I went to Jefferson’s today expecting to get tasty fried oysters that I had gotten before there and was very disappointed. My order came and the oysters looked like they were canned smoked oysters and they were all shriveled up and half of my order was just batter. The waitress seemed unapologetic and when I asked if there was something they could do I expected a manager to at least be sent out to look at the product they served. They took some off my bill but really just seemed like they could give a flip.
As a graduate of Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Alabama… Home of the original Jeffersons, the Brentwood location has just as good food as the original! BEST WINGS ANYWHERE! Two words… EAT HERE!
What’s happened?. I said a few weeks ago, that Jefferson’s double dipped wings were the best thing to happen to chicken wings since buffalo sauce, but that they had not been as good recently. I promised an update. Here it is. With a day or two the owner of Jefferson’s emailed to inquire of the problem. When I went back on the following Wednesday, he sat down with me and we talked about the wings. Turns out he has been trying to ensure consistency from visit to visit. Apparently I like mine cooked a little more than Jefferson’s specs on the second dip. I’ve only been back about 8 or 9 times since my last review. Excellent every time. The only problem is that the wings are so good, I seldom try anything else.
Best sports bar secret. Jeffersons in Maryland Farms may be my favorite lunch spot in Brentwood. The location is great if you work in Maryland Farms (its right nextdoor to my office) cause you dont have to fight the Franklin Rd traffic. Food tastes great, plenty of TVs, and the daily specials give you a great lunch at a reasonable price. Even though tumbleweeds blow through Maryland farms after 5pm and on weekends, Jeffersons has maintained week night hours and is open on weekends. There is not a better place to watch a game, all the Tvs are big and close enough to feel like your at home but you got somebody else cooking for you. I kinda hate to let my secret out but i felt like i owed it to the guys and gals over there.
Had dinner at Jefferson’s in Brentwood tonight with a work group.First time I had been there and I have to say everything about it was GREAT! Our server,named Tory,was an absolute delight! From the time we walked in,she made our dining experience great! She told us of their daily specials,which they have 1 every day of the week I learned, and recommended their Fried dill pickles as an appetizer and boy was she right!! Good stuff! I went on to have a cheeseburger,which was delicious and others in my group had wings and quesadillas..everything was hot and delicious! Give this place a try! Ask for Tory,you won’t be sorry!
