The absolute worst gyro place I have ever eaten. Got a to go order today for two gyro plates and a chicken plate. Portions were meek at best. Happy meal from McDonald’s has more. The gyro meat was terrible and cold. The rice was also cold and bland. Pita bread was colder than the previous mentioned. I’m not sure if Brentwood folks have eaten Greek before because if they had they would have left after eating the first bite. We really wasted our money and time. As far as it being cold I only live five minutes from there so it wasn’t the long drive. It was so bad my son ate Ramen noodles for dinner. Hot Ramen noodles.
Bad Food. The chicken was awful, it tasted like vomit and the owner would not even extend us the courtesy that we may be right. She became very offended and rude. It was a very bad experience.
Food tasted great, very comfortable, laid back atmosphere. Salad was fresh and delicious. Great value and a great product! Try it!
Well Worth A Visit. I was greeted by all staff with a wide and genuine smile as I walked in. Food was awesome (spectacular hummus)! Atmosphere was electric. Food served was timely, tasty, and at a proper temp. I will return next time through town, as they made it impossible for the competition to surpass, and very tough to match.I also did some carryout for the road trip ahead, and that too was to the same standards.
She is good and service is great and friendly but for taste and flavor Mediterrarian may exceed her by 2 or 3 lengths! She may need to step it up a bit to catch up on a fast track
Hold Me Back….. Ghada, William and team make this experience terrific. I now limit myself to going once every two weeks, but, am considering going once a day (a la Super Size Me) to help lower my cholesterol due the menu and the healthy preparation. PS – My doctor suggested I eat a vegetarian diet; Kalamata’s has good, tasty choices not found in many restaurants, and, are unique to vegetarian options.Never, ever hesitate to order the fish special – it’ always out of this world. Also, Chef William recently introduced a Mediterranean Bar B Que that looks out of this world, and, I understand is very tasty.Once you have your first visit, it should be no problem to keep Kalamata’s Brentwood on your list for a consistent visit. The Gazpacho, when in season, is to die for.
Delicious Mediterranean dishes. We had the special of the day – Lebanese Chicken served with a Greed salad and roasted potatoes. The first bite of the chicken gave us a soft lemon flavor with a very nice pesto following. The Greek salad was also very good. In addition, we ordered the Lamb/Beef Combo Gryro and it was an incredibly large pita filled to overflowing with tender meat, lettuce and delicious yogurt and cucumber dressing. You must try the hummas – oh, so good. During the weekdays, you will encounter a line that sometimes reaches the door around 5-6 pm when customers are picking up dinner to take home. The small Mediterranean restaurant in a Brentwood strip mall makes all dressings and sauces fresh and homemade each day. The dining room is cheery and bright. Additionally, on Saturday and Sunday nights there is live music. It varies from Latin to country to classical.
