Not sure why this place has negative reviews on here. It was by far the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, aside from the queso which was the only weak part of the meal. I ordered the filet mignon fajitas which actually came with a separate queso. Still not the best queso, but I enjoyed that one more than the standard. The meat was tender and flavorful and all of the ingredients seemed extremely fresh. Our waiter was great and seemed to love his job. It’s more expensive than most Mexican restaurants, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. That being said, I will definitely return.

A Tex Mex restaurant. We had chicken fajitas, honey salmon, veggie quesidillia, and fish tacos. I was surprised that most of our food was a bit bland. I expected everything to have more flavor than it did. I have actually paid less and gotten better tasting food at other restaurants. We were a little disappointed.
For the 2nd time I have been severely disappointed with the attitude of this restaurant. My first experience was trying to reserve a table booking for my son’s proposal to his girlfriend. We wanted to have dinner with the happy couple and both families following the proposal/engagement. Knowing this was a new and popular restaurant I began weeks in advance working to book the table. Because we were a party of 9 it proved most difficult and the restaurant did absolute nothing in trying to help us make the situation work. The 2nd situation was several weeks later. I was willing to give them the benefit of being anew restaurant and wanted to try again. Our party of 7 arrived at 6:00 pm prepared for a wait. Upon approaching the hostess station this was the conversation.Me: hello, we have a party of 7Hostess: we aren’t accepting any large parties tonightMe: excuse me?Hostess: we can split you up but can’t promise you will be seated at the same time or near each otherMe: 7 is a large party?Hostess: it is for usMe: well okay thenWhat was most disturbing was the overall attitude. Nashville is a very popular food town. Waits are the norm. Busy restaurants are the norm. I believe a better way to handle this situation would have been to say- Me: hello, party of 7Hostess: we are so happy you have chosen to dine with us but unfortunately we are very, very busy tonight. We will do our best to seat you but it may be a 3-4 hour wait.I would have then politely said we would try the restaurant st another time and it would have been our decision to leave and basically not told to leave.As a side note, we had a LOVELY dinner at Firebirds Grill the night of the engagement. The did everything they could to make the happy couple feel special. And our dinner at Local Taco after the unfortunate experience the 2nd time at Uncle Julius was delicious.
