Terrible. This location is terrible. Texas Roadhouse is a good chain, but this location needs to be redone. They need new management and new servers. The lady that sat us was unpleasent. She obviously hated her job. Our waiter was not good at his job either. I asked for a simple tequila, on ice with lime juice. It was not busy at all and it took 45 minutes to get a messed up drink. It was a shot of tequila. That was it. My husband and I chose our steaks up front and I ordered mine medium rare. It came out past well done. I sent it back, only to get the fattiest cut of meat. Cooked flat out rare. The outer wasnt even brown. We werent even offered my dinner free and on top of that we were charged my dinner twice. Save yourself some bad service and go elsewhere.
For same price-point as LongHorn, much better food and larger portions with comparable good service.. On a 4pm-ish Monday evening, I was immediately greeted and shown to a booth by a friendly hostess, who grabbed a basket of 4 fresh, hot honey rolls with a cup of light-cinnamon margarine. I do prefer dark bread, but LongHorn’s was dry, crusty, and barely warm, while Texas RH’s were fresh, hot, and soft. My waitress was also very polite, friendly, and cheerful, and took my order of their largest sirloin (a 16oz, as compared to LHSH, which serves only an 11oz at very nearly the same price), baked potato, Caesar salad, and sweet tea. I might add that there was a bucket of peanuts as well, which I regret not having some. But they’re there.Moments later, I was served my tea, which was as good as that at LongHorn, and I liked it very much – sweet, but not overly so, and served in a glass with about the right amount of ice. Anyone who’s had a glass of ice with tea as an afterthought knows what I mean. Also, my Caesar salad was the best I’ve been served in some time. The plate was cold, as was the fresh, crispy lettuce. The dressing/sauce was perfect, and in the right amount, with croutons that were good as well – and in the right proportion. The cheese was grated in the right proportion, as well – in short, this was an excellent salad.Given enough time to eat and enjoy my salad, my steak arrived, and I was asked right then to cut and approve it. It was cooked perfectly as ordered, medium-rare, and though very juicy, I did not have a bloody plate. The meat itself was extremely tender, almost to the point of a filet, and the flavor was full, meaty, and excellent. By far the best sirloin I’ve had in years (I don’t get out much, so this was a real treat). The potato was nearly twice the size of that at LongHorn, and entirely edible (as was the one at LH – see my other review). I was attended to, i.e. waited on, superbly – easy to get noticed, and at the same time, not hawked over. Also, the salt and pepper shakers were, I don’t know, normal – the pepper was accessible, and the salt didn’t pour out, while the shakers at LHSH attempt to be fancy and end up being not much more than decorative germ habitats. When I finished eating, it was easy to request a take-home box, and my waitress asked if I wanted some tea to-go – and she brought me a cup filled with fresh sweet tea again not over-iced, and a new straw. Also, my payment was promptly taken care of, without any hint of rush or pressure to leave. So when it was all said and done, I had the best steak and the best Caesar salad I’ve had in many moons, with excellent service, and nearly an entire meal for tomorrow, all for just over a $1 more than what I had at LongHorn. So if you’re looking for the right steakhouse to go to for this price range, I can say I have no need to look any further the next time I’m fortunate enough to go out, and I hope they don’t change a thing here at the Clarksville, IN Texas Roadhouse.
We love Texas Roadhouse, but this one doesn’t live up to what we are used to. We have been here three times and all three times there were problems. Either the service was slow, the food was wrong and cold or it just didn’t taste well. Tonight we waited over an hour for our food. We won’t be back.
Food was fine but the atmosphere was way to busy and loud for me More like a bad bar at rush hour than a rest . Will not go back
