I have ordered cupcakes from here many times. I wanted to write a review because I was so pleased with the beautiful cupcakes they made for my daughter’s prom this month. They were gorgeous and delicious and exceeded myexpectations!
Good cupcakes if they are open..horrid customer service. New in town…first stop is the sweetest batch to see if the cupcake are good as i needed to place a huge order for a big event we will be hosting. The Cupcakes are pretty good. Prices are dc prices but that is ok….that didn’t bother me. I Checked with the girl about placing the order for our cupcakes…16 dozen mini cupcakes…gave her the date of the event. I was told that would be no problem. (she even checked with a lady in the back) i was told Just stop by about a week before with the design we wanted on the cupcakes and all would be good. Thank god i stopped by 3 weeks early, because when I went in I was told oh they are closed the week I need the cupcakes. Here is the kicker…I was told i should just pick them up 4 days early. So you want me to store 16 dozen cupcakes and serve 16 dozen stale cupcakes from your shop??? Odd business practice to me. That’s a lot of people that will never go to your store after they eat stale cupcakes. In their defense I sort of got angry and made a smallish scene…which there is probably no need to get angry over cupcakes. I feel bad about getting so angry…but I was annoyed. I asked to talk to the owner and it took her forever to come out to basically say what do you want us to do??? So I get to scramble now to find a new place to fulfill my order. Oh and I had my little Boy with me…..I had promised him a cupcake so with my gut in knots I bought him and his little buddy we were going to see cupcakes….and as I turned to go….so I just paid them money with no discount….the male waiting on me rolled his eyes and laughed at me.
Very pink and cupcakey. I so appreciate the large variety and overall good cupcakes this place has to offer. We really do not have a lot of local shops around town so I try to give the local shops as much support as I can. I will admit I sometimes feel like I am stepping into a frilly foo foo girly shop whenever I go inside, but their cupcakes are worth it. I have stood in line a few times to get my hands on one of their strawberry cheesecake cupcakes. They make my stomach happy.
Good cupcakes. We have lived in the area for a few years since my husband got stationed here. I have been to different cupcake boutiques around other cities and love them. The cupcakes at the sweetest batch are amazing. Our family loves the red velvet cake. I also appreciate the extra discount they give for my husband being in the military.
The cupcakes where good the frosting on it was way too much on there .but the cupcake itself was ok.it is not worth the 4.00 I paid,more around the 2 dollar mark
Cupcakes really do make it better. I was having a really bad day last week and on my way home, I drove by this shop and decided to go check it out. I have heard good things about them but never had a chance to stop by.I purchased a box of 12 minis for 7 dollars and a big mint chocolate one for 3 dollars. They were all very moist and delicious. I esp liked the red velvet and peanut butter chocolate minis.These cupcakes helped cheer me up after a bad day at work and I will be back for more. They were great.
Two visits left me on the fence…the first time was great, but the second was disappointing. The frosting on my first cupcakes were excessive, that is, more/taller than the cupcake itself! The taste made up for that. However, the second time, the frosting wasn’t as excessive, but the cupcakes were so dry that they just crumbled when I cut into them with a fork!
