Finally, a Chinese restaurant making the food in-house with real flavors and spices. Located in a strip mall between Miss Saigon and the K&S market, it’s rather unassuming from the outside, but spacious inside. Want some real flavor, try the cumin beef or shrimp. The warm gritty taste of cumin with lots of heat too. In addition to a generous amount of protein, there are lots of properly stir fry veggies. Tender crisp. I have also had the twice cooked pork. Really liked that. Deep flavor and you can get it extra spicy. Fried rice is a little on the plain side. Their hot and sour soup is different from most others since they’re making it there instead of re-heating industrial stuff. Their spring rolls are small with a crispy crust, but definitely made in house too. They make their own hot mustard and it has just the right amount of heat and mustard flavor. Tables have a bottle of a vinegar/fish sauce that is an interesting condiment too. They have lunch specials during the week, and a very extensive menu otherwise. On weekends, Dim Sum replaces lunch specials. We’ve yet to have that, but have it on our list. Lucky Bamboo is a lot of what we’ve been looking for in a Chinese restaurant. They’re making their own food and sauces (not reheating food service frozen) including deep flavors and spicy hot is available. Check it out.

I love the variety of this place and the fact that they actually have hot pot and dim sum, but the food is just never fresh-at all. I can always find something I like, but the dim sum is soggy/cold, and their bubble tea always has old tapioca pearls and way too much sugar. It’s good, but a little bit disappointing.

My girlfriend and I usually get lucky bamboo because it’s a good Chinese takeout restaurant close to her house in east Nashville. Usually the food is good but there are a lot of little mix ups. Like they will forget an egg roll here and there. They leave out sauce and utensils. But the last time we ordered the food showed up 3 hours late. They credited us half the bill but after having to wait that long we gave up and got Burger King. I wouldn’t order form them and expect consistently good service.

Authentic Chinese food. Hardly can find any authentic Chinese food in Nashville and Lucky Bamboo really serves very good authentic Chinese food. I am impressed and definitely love to keep going back for more.

Awesome Food.. I have been a long time fan of Lucky Bamboo’s food. So I was heartbroken while they were gone for a time not knowing if they would be back. Let me tell you they are back and better than ever. The menu has been upgraded. The hot and sour soup is the best in Nashville. Super fresh ingredients in the orange chicken. The service has improved drastically since reopening. The amazing server we had was on fire tonight and very informative. She offered really tasty suggestions all the way. The owner was also very friendly and very visible throughout the meal. The staff as a whole went above and beyond my wildest expectations. If you’ve never been now is the time to go.

One of my top 3. I love this restaurant!!! my mom sister used to come here all the time before they closed, and were ecstatic to find they reopened! they have bar none the best Hot and sour soup, everything is flavorful and big portions the staff is friendly and efficient and I leave so full and happy every time and will make this a weekly trip if at all possible. Not to mention this is the only place I will ever order duck any where else.
