No.. Far cry from true country cooking. More like out of a can and freezer. Sorry maybe it was an off night
Great Food. I have been coming to Stans for years & it is a hour plus drive for me and my family. But My Parents and brothers make it a good get together + road trip. We always get great food thats fresh and hot and the ladies are very nice. We will be back soon for another trip. I just wanted everyone to know what a good time my family has when we come there. We have passed on our great eating place to sooooooo many people. I love it and so do they. Love the frog legs….
Mixed. We had lunch at Stan’s. I was not very hungry so I ordered a side salad and country ham and biscuits. The salad was OK but was COVERED with imitation bacon bits. I tried to scrap them off but you could not get them all. My country ham and biscuits were good. My wife ordered the turkey and dressing. The turkey was reformed turkey breast. My wife di not eat it because of the way it looked. I expect real turkey breast not reformed. It was pretty nasty looking. The rest of the turkey and dressing meal was good. The sweet tea was good and the waitress was friendly.
Visit today 2/23/2013. We stopped at Stan’s today around 11:30 , we were told to sit anywhere we wanted . We sat a a table by the front windows . The restaurant was noy busy may 6 tables . We waited for 10 minutes and 3 different waitress walked by without acknowledgeing were even there . They asked tables on each side of us if they needed anything . We waited another 5 minutes and then left without being waited on . We have been going to Stan’s for 10 years and really enjoy the food . We have noticed that the pass 2 years the service has gotten worse with today being the breaking point . We have made our last stop at Stans .
Ive had a lot of great catfish, this place now ranks as some of the best I’ve had.
