We had two chicken burritos with black beans, rice, pico, cheese and lettuce. The regular size is extremely filling. Service was quick with no real wait.

Last Thursday, on account of the long weekend, we decided to eat out for lunch. I along with a few work friends headed here for lunch. It’s the basic self service routine. We stood in a line to order and started deciding on our choices. It’s a pretty standard Mexican place serving tacos, burritos, bowl meals and quesadillas. Two of us ordered quesadillas while the other two ordered tacos. The only dish that blatantly tells you that it’s vegetarian is the Peasant Plate. Being a vegetarian I should find that appalling, but it was amusing. Nevertheless I did not order it and had a quesadilla with mushrooms, extra cheese and a few veggies. If you make a meal out of it adding chips and a drink, your meal will come up to 10 bucks. They also have a sauce counter with varied spice levels to select from. The food is good, a quick-decent-lunch sort of place. Don’t hesitate to try it out!

A Failed Attempt To Immitate Moe’s. Ten dollars and 20 minutes I can never get back in my life. The meats were cold, the servers acted as if I was an imposition and they charge extra for a smidgen of guacamole on your tacos. (And the guacamole sucked in addition to being an extra charge!) The menu warns that one of the chicken options is spicy, but they failed to note that so is the pulled pork. Ghastly choice of something spicy thrown into the pork! The thing which confuses me is that they were fairly busy. I suppose a large percentage of the Cookeville population has never dined at Moe’s nor Chipotle’s. Otherwise they’d avoid this place. Taco Bell is quicker, cheaper and tastier!

Ehh, not the best. A place that really doesn’t know what it is. It is not Tex-Mex nor is it coastal food. And definitely not Mex/Latin/whatever. It is their own thing which is right on par with McDonald’s

Above average Burrito Joint. I can’t even begin to name the countless Burrito restaurants popped up over the last ten years, but for this town, Blue Coast Burrito was put in right out by the interstate. I went in during lunchtime for a chicken burrito and it was a pleasant enough experience. the staff was super friendly and the food was fresh and warm. Will frequent when on the run.

Great service, great food. The owners are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. They serve quality food at a good price. Best of all, it’s healthy.

Steak burrito was good. Baja Fish Tacos were some of the best I’ve had. Head and shoulders above what we’re used to from Moe’s & Salsaritas. geekfoodcritic.com
