Hamburgers. We are new to area, Dipsy Doodle was recommended, they advertised best burgers.. well we were not very happy.. the burgers were pre fried, very dry, not juicy or hot..they were pre formed, the toppings were good..it comes with French fries, not hot, possibly cooked and set under a heat lamp..the place is big, but not busy, food came really quick, if food was hot and tasty, the price was right
Down Home Breakfast. I’ve had breakfast at Dipsy Doodle, (The most important meal of the day, IMO.) and I’m here to tell you… SOMEONE there really knows how to cook a country breakfast. From country ham, to HUGE loaded omlets (If that is what you prefer.) all the way down to chocolate gravy, (Made RIGHT!). So if breakfast is your thing, you won’t be disapointed here.
Awesome burgers and onion rings. But I was unimpressed with the pie!!
Dont Forget the Catfish. All this talk about burgers……you can get them anywhere in the US. OK, they may be good here at the Dipsy D, but for my money, and coming all the way from Southern California, the CATFISH and SWEET TEA are the real downhome southern cooking that’s to be savored here.Go with the catfish!Dennis03 Feb, 2010My visit to the Dipsy. Was there in 2008 while in Nashville at a computer conf…..what a trip! Wonderful traditional inside decor, great owners and fabulous southern cooking….esp. the catfish.
Their giant cheeseburger with fries has been consistently great for 30 years. Would recommend this to anyone.
They do not take credit/debit cards.
