We are regulars here and go at least weekly. The waiters usually know what we want when we arrive. Fastest service of any restaurant we’ve ever been to and it’s not even close. Very affordable menu and you will get FULL.
El Tapatio is touted to be one of nicest Mexican food places in Cookeville. We paid our due visit to this place one fine evening. It is quite big and has a nice vibe to it. We were shown to our table and we got down to ordering.They start you off with nachos. For drinks we had a Coke and a Frozen Margarita. The Frozen Margarita was delicious! I love quesadillas! Rightly spiced filled with cheese and just a little crunchy on the outside. Being a mushroom lover, I thought Mushroom Quesadilla was just the thing for me. But, sadly it was not as tasty as I expected it to be. My friend ordered a chicken dish and was happy with her order. The place is reasonably priced and has very friendly staff. I will definitely go back and try something which will appeal my palate. Yes, I believe in giving places second chances!
