We went there for steak and was very disappointed in filet mignon cuts. They were not thick as expected and not cooked as ordered. One was basically burnt. Also the waitress misrepresented the balance on my gift card saying it had no balance when it had actually never been used. We have been there several times but will not go back considering all the other choices in town now.
Nothing special about this Outback Steakhouse, they’re all the same, of course. Nothing to complain about. The wait time at dinner was about 25 minutes, but after that the service was fast, the food took about 20 minutes, then I ate it contently. Bathrooms were clean. The check is hefty for a slab of meat and a potato, but that’s the way it is I guess.
Went for a weekend getaway worst food ever.. My husband and I went for a weekend get-a-way to Cookeville and ate at the Outback since I have heard their steaks are great. But it was the sorriest steak I have ever had. My husband had the tilapia and it was tough and tasted old, menu said it came with a salad but it was misleading and didn’t. The bake potatoes were brown from being over a day old. And salads had way to many dark old leaves. I was very disappointed. Take you money to a better restaurant.
Longhorn for my money. Outback and Longhorn have about the same menu but Outback’s steaks just are as fresh or as juicy as Longhorn’s For the money, in Cookeville, I would spend my money at Longhorn or look for something else.
Wow the new woodfire grilled ribeye is amazing!!!
