Excellent coffee. Have been to both locations, like the in town spot better; Way more atmosphere. The ho’made chocolate cookies are TOP, but the other fare is a little lacking. I think that they are concentrating on the drinks first, then expanding into a larger menu. I look forward to that! If they apply themselves to the lunch menu with as much attention to detail as their coffee, they will be unstoppable. The usual hipster staff and clientele make it feel like home, but I was able to get online for some light work and enjoy a real cuppa Joe. Beats any chain with a stick (looking at you, charbux) so make your way…. Worth the drive.

I love cafe’s. Especially the ones that are all warm and cute and fuzzy. If it is not clear as yet, Poet’s Coffee is one of those. We have been seeing this place for a while now and happened to drop in today. You are invited in to this attractive place by the smell of good coffee. They have widely spaced tables inside and a few tables outside just in case you are in a mood to sit out. They have unique and charming jewelry on display and for sale. I love the packaging, they just have papers from old diaries as a holder for bracelets and chains. Extremely creative! We got 2 Mochas. It tasted great. Good coffee, great ambiance, what more can one ask for!

Great hangout. My friend and I all like to hang out here and study after class. they have great coffee and tea and the food is really good. There is free Wi-Fi and it is so CHEAP!! Plus everything is a lot better quality than Starbuck’s and lets face it Starbuck’s is just another crap fast food version of the real thing.

Get in touch with your inner bohemian. The coffee and food (although typical and fine) aren’t what you go to Poets for. You go to Poets to find your inner bohemian. It’s an artistic, earthy kind of place that cannot be created purposefully; it magically happens because of the kind of people who linger here. As a middle-aged soccer mom, my bohemianesque days are behind me. They’ve been kicked so far behind me by reality (a.k.a. growing up, getting a real job, getting married, paying a mortgage, having kids, etc.) that I can barely remember them. Ah, but on rare days, I can walk into Poets, get a coffee, sit down on an antique divan with my Jack Kerouac book (not really, but it sounds fitting), and imagine, if only briefly, that I’m still hippie-cool; a free spirit planning a road trip to see The Grateful Dead with my goatee-sporting, philosophy-spouting, hacky-sacking, Berkenstock-wearing, soul-mate of a boyfriend…..

Atmosphere is wonderful. Food is fair. Specialty coffee & tea drinks are not to my liking. Seems a little expensive for not so great drinks.
