Above Average But Not Cheap. My wife and I are vegetarians so we like Mediterranean food for the variety it offers us. We found this restaurant to be above average in quality, especially the soups and vegetarian appetizer platter. Service was excellent.
Dinner At Anatolia. Had a very pleasant dining experience. Food was excellent. Staff impeccable. Will definitely return.
Bland. We normally love Middle Eastern food and gave this a shot based on so many good reviews, but should have listened to the ones saying the food was underseasoned. My husband was initially excited because he is partial to lamb, but the roasted lamb really had no flavor, even with the addition of salt. The mixed grill was ok, well-cooked but could use seasoning, and both by taste and texture seemed like it hadn’t been marinated much. The best part of the plate was the kofta, which went well with the yogurt sauce. Both the Turkish beer and the dessert (Kuenfe) was good. We’re just puzzled whether Nashville’s palate is really so bland, or if the restaurant is catering more to their loyal older clientele.
Came here for dessert and Turkish coffee. Was actively ignored by server. Won’t be returning.
Perfection!. Anatolia is the total package – great atmosphere, incredibly delicious food, and reasonable prices. I love dining at Anatolia, and recommend it to everyone. You have to go here. If you don’t try it, you are really, really missing out. I give it 6 out of 5 stars…go now! Try the lamb chops or the adana kabob if you’ve never been there before. Those dishes are a great way to start.
Worth the price!. I wasn’t sure what to expect when lunch plans fell through and friends agreed to try this place. Wow! I am now a loyal customer. Even though we came after the lunch time, we had an amazing meal. I ordered the Veggie platter and everything tasted great. The eggplant was slimmy but the flavor out weighed it. My friends ordered the spinch stuffed chicken with two different sauces and the meat platter. The Kofta was the best I have ever eaten.You must try the Kuenfe, even if you are stuffed to the gills. This tasty, lightly sweet dessert is now a favorite. There is something comforting about the texture of the cheese and the slight crunch of the toppings, that is floating is very pale sugar. When we finished it, there wasn’t any syrup left as we licked the platter clean.Oh, try the hot apple tea!
Very good, but small portions. I’m a vegetarian and was happy to see several options on the menu. They all looked good. I got the veggie sampler, which was excellent, but I thought the portion was really really small for the price charged. I noticed that several other diners mentioned small portions, so it seems to be a problem there. Nevertheless, I’d still go back there. I’d just order more next time.
