Old school.... I've been going to Browns as long as I can remember. As a Nashville girl, I support local places...Browns and Rotiers are great places …

Ok place if you know what to expect, like a pair of old, worn boat shoes. Decent burgers, limited beer selection, slow service, lots of regulars. A lo…

Place should be PADLOCKED!!!. Lackluster burgers, horrid fries, flavorless-canned-chili, grilled cheese that tasted like it was made with some experimental cheese of some sort!!! Don’t even get me started on the hotdogs. Just a poor place to eat. Our server was very nice, and prompt in covering the area she had, the beer was nice and cold. Im sure that a better use of this property could be made!!! Any developers out there, break out the bulldozers!!!
Cleanliness: 2. Atmosphere: 4(story). Service: 6. Food: 4 (only because i was starving)Since 1931.
Hates It. This is not a dive but a dump!! If others think this place serves a great burger then they have not been to Gabby’s. We ate a little after 1:00pm and the burger was very dry and tasted like it had been sitting for a while till they served it. Fries were frozen out of a bag- nothing special. Save your calories and go somewhere else.
Burger and a cold beer. Do not go to Brown’s with high expectations on service or decor. It is a pretty old school place where the servers seem to be in the middle of watching tv and have to take your order. HOWEVER once you get your food you will be impressed. One of Nashville’s best burgers and chili.
Yes. Ahhh Browns!! Despite the fact that it literally sits on a trailer parked in a parking lot – browns is the king of green hills / belmont burgers. Love this spot – reminds me of sneaking away from high school to grab a bite here with friends. The staff is so friendly as well.
Now I know what everyone was talking about. I tried Brown’s Diner at lunch for the first time today. Now, I know why so many people love this place! We had the fish plate and a cheeseburger & fries. The fish plate $6.99 had 5 nice size pieces of fish, 5 or 6 hushpuppies, tons of fries, good coleslaw and maybe the best tartar sauce I’ve ever tasted. We couldn’t begin to finish the huge plate of food. The cheeseburger was also really good. If you’re looking for an elegant interior, Brown’s Diner isn’t that. But if you are looking for just good food, you won’t be disappointed.
Lactose friendly. Still the best place in town to order milk…whole milk in a frosted beer mug. Bliss.
