Best food I’ve had in long time. Loved it! The shrimp and grits were amazing, along with every meal ordered at the table. Great selection of beer and drinks! My bachelorette dinner was Very seclusive in our own booth, we loved it!
Myself and two friends went to Cabana on a Wednesday (which happens to be ladies night) for dinner and a couple drinks. The restaurant is clean, staff was friendly and the atmosphere is pretty cool, not uppity or hipster. We sat in the back which has three huge garage doors so the view is pretty neat.I ordered a drink off the ladies night menu, the Cherry Blossom, and it had so much grenadine in it I couldn’t drink it- it was gross. I tried adding some water to it to dilute it but no luck. So I got a glass of wine insteadwhich is hard to mess up (they didn’t charge me for the cocktail, just the wine which was nice). We ordered the grit bites, tomato soup/ grilled brie appetizer and the house chips with blue cheese to split. The tomato soup/brie was fantastic but the other stuff was just ‘meh’. Two of usgot the Buttermilk Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and green peas. While the food waspretty and well presented, it was not delicious, just ok.I left thinking ‘everything was discounted and I still paid that much?’ I was not impressed with Cabana and will a million options in Nashville with spectacular food, I doubt I’ll be returning. I was very under-whelmed with the food. The service was great and our waitress was very nice and didn’t hover, the food was just a miss in my opinion.
Late night dinner. I stopped in as I was wanting a late night dinner and Cabana ‘ s came in with several people suggesting that this is the place for a real meal late at night when those little square burgers just won’t do. I had the blackened trout w/ creamed corn and wilted greens. I must give compliments to the chef! WOW! Best meal I have had in quite some time! Drinks here weren’t too bad either! 😉 If you are in the Belmont or Vanderbilt area, do yourself a favor and have a meal here. You will not be sorry !! GREAT!!

This place looks awesome when you walk in. The cabana concept is so cool and the outdoor seating area is fantastic. That being said… It was the worst food and service I have ever had. The food was inedible. Cheap, seasoned poorly, cooked poorly, honestly- couldn’t even eat it.
Local Favorite. One of my favorite places to eat in Nashville, usually eat here for my birthday every year. Service is hit and miss depending on who is there and in the kitchen that day, but I have never had a bad meal or drink there. There is something for everyone, and I have never ordered anything that wasn’t good! Can’t go wrong with 2-for-1 drink specials and 2-for-1 pizza.
