Perfect jerk chicken and black bean salad. Cornbread rolls are definitely a highlight. Great service.
Awful. Chicken was dry, Both beans and rice were undercooked. Beer was cold and good, but about the time I wanted to order another, my idiot waiter dropped off my totalled check.Jerk sauce was spicy and good, but at that point, it was too little, too late.
Price is Up to You. First fell in love with Berry Hill Calypso location. Very happy to find this smaller location tucked in this tiny strip mall. Take your time and navigate the menu. You can put together something very inexpensive, or for a few dollars more, my huge appetite is always satisfied. I don’t like the plastic chairs as they don’t slide easily and seem to take up more room than necessary. However, if they keep the prices down, I can put up with them.
Healthy, creative, well priced. Love this place. Ideal for lunch. Great salads and great chicken with some tasty sauces. They have some great sides and a lot of funky twists on old southern classics. Prices are very low too.

Great place!. I loved it! i’ve stayed at the hampton inn close by many of times, and walked right past this place not thinking much of it, but then i heard via word of mouth last night that this place was great, i now had to try it. i first walked in the door not knowing what to expect, and first off the aroma in the place really put a smile on my face! it was a bit busy to where i had to wait on a table, but again no worries at all because i was already very happy to be there! i got the 1/4 white chicken with hot jerk sauce, black beans and sweet potatoes and everything was perfect! everything that came out of the kitchen looked great, the service was top notch, and all in all, it’s pretty cheap too! i’ll definitely be going back on my next visit to nashville!
