Stopped here while visiting Nashville. When we told the girl we were from out of town she sent us home with a few of their best sellers for free! Great service and delicious donuts!!

I have figured out why Donut Den has a 91% approval rating – it has zero quality competition. Drove from the east side of Brentwood this morning only because, after consulting US, found nothing but Dunkin and KK. I live in St. Louis where the chains struggle because there are several outstanding independents. At Donut Den today, i bought 1 small cinnamon roll, 1 sprinkle, 1 custard-filled, and a dozen holes…for $11!! The cinnamon roll would have been an acceptable yet mediocre donut when it was fried, most likely 5 or 6 hours earlier. The rest were for my young grandkids. They ate a couple of bites of each and were done. I tasted both and know why. Had I gone to one of my two favorites in STL, this order would have been about $6. One of the shops is among Bon Appetit mags top 10 pastry shops in the US. Sorry for my Nashville friends that DD is the best you have.10 Feb, 2013I am sorry that this is the best Nashville has to offer. If you ever had a great donut, you would never again buy these over-priced, mediocre (and stale, today) impostors . Disappointing and disgusting.

Not even close.. I’ve often said I must’ve been a cop in another life, because I’m a huge sucker for doughnuts. I love them. I can rarely pass them up. So, I really wanted to give my local doughnut shop a chance, but every time I’ve been to the Donut Den I’ve been disappointed. They taste stale and leave a horrible aftertaste in the mouth with an almost slimy mouthfeel once you’re done (usually a sign that the grease is not too fresh!). This last time was my last; I couldn’t wait to brush my teeth afterward and just bitterly regretted the whole affair.Honestly, I’ve had better doughnuts at gas stations. And paid much less for them. I think I’ll stick to Shipley’s from now on.

I know my doughnuts. This was our third trip to Nashville and yes I do not leave town without going to the Den! Usually more than once!I have been early and late, never got a bad doughnut. Only complaint they don’t have one where I live. It truly makes my heart sing when I walk in the door because I know I am about to be so very happy! Go, go now!

Hands down best donuts in West/South Nashville. ‘Nuff said.

Best donuts in town. You have to go in the morning to early afternoon but they are the best.

Not impressed! Granted, we went in at 8pm, but the donuts were stale and hard. Two kinds of holes (a dozen total), and 3 other donuts and it was almost $9. Rip-off! The glazing on one was nasty. Tasted like the 3 day old ones you get at the grocery store. If you are donut shop that is going to be open all day and evening then you should really be making fresh ones throughout the day, if not, close early.
