Good food, long wait.. I’ve been wanting to try the various Ethiopian restaurants in the Nashville area and started with this one as I was in the area for lunch. However, I don’t understand why they open at 11 AM when they don’t actually have much you can order at that time. I tried to get lunch to go and was told they didn’t have many menu items yet and to come back in half an hour if I was set on having a sampler. I was, so I tried again about 45 minutes later, only to have to wait another 25 minutes for my meal. Even then, I still think they didn’t have all the menu items prepared and had to make some substitutions, as what I got didn’t match the menu description. If I’d known it would have taken that long, I wouldn’t have waited, but at that point I was very hungry and didn’t have any other nearby options that sounded good. The completely empty restaurant should have clued me in, but I had my heart set on it that day. Oh well, lesson learned.Other than being so slow, the service was very friendly and there was a lot of food for the price. I doubt I’ll go for lunch again, though, not unless I have all day.
Friendly and relaxed, great food. The restaurant staff were very friendly and concerned with our experience, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food was excellent. My wife and I had a combination of the chicken, lamb and beef with several vegetables. Great place, we will definitely be back.
Great place to eat if you like bones. Awesome bone dishes: the lamb is bones and sauce, with tiny slivers of gristly meat that I dare the wildest caveman to rip off with his incisors. Also on the menu, chicken! which is a drumstick with more sauce. Definitely not what most of us would want, but if you or dog dig bones, by all means, go ya to Goha. If you want actual food, there are other Ethiopian places to go.
