Oh man! This place is amazing. It’s a little small, but it has a great atmosphere so enjoy your wait. You will be glad you did because the food is top notch! Really good prices, too. Many dishes you find in Greek/Mediterranean restaurants, but a few specialty as well (Tarhana is a must if you can stand 3/5 spiciness!). You must visit if you come through, I rate this above hot chicken.
The tarhana soup–yogurt soup is STELLAR. Worth the trip just for the soup. Lamb and chicken kebabs are really good. Friendly service. Very cool
Loved the food and the service.. While it might not be much to look at from the outside the real feature for this place is the food. No being familiar with Turkish food our very nice waitress helped us make some delicious selections. My wife had the Doner Plate, which was great. The spices were just right and it came in great portions. I had the Istanbul Special and was blown away. Three grilled meats on a huge plate of rich for a great price. This place is a great value.
Absolutely fabulous! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I ordered the Istanbul Special togo. It was seasoned perfectly and the portion was generous. I was very tempted to try a piece of the pistachio baklava as it looked great but I didn’t. I eat middle eastern food on a regular basis and this is some of the best I’ve ever had. Remarkable. Highly recommended.
Wonderful food.. I love Istanbul cafe. They have amazing food that is full of flavor. I love the lentil soup and would recommend it to anyone, the burger however was dry and over cooked so I don’t think I will be getting that again. They have the best gyro in town. One of my biggest issues is that one of the servers is overly friendly and actually sat at our table as he took out order. I found that to be very unsettling and unprofessional.
So good! Heard so much about this restaurant and finally got to try it out. Walking in and smelling how good it did I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed. We where then welcomed and seated by our sweet waitress. She took the time to explain the menu and have us great recommendations. We started off with the babagunish, which was fantastic, then I had okra stew with chicken and my husband had the kuzy with lentel soup. We had to leave room for dessert. We had the rice pudding and baklava. By far the best baklava I have had in town! I know now where to go to get fresh baklava. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem! If you have not tried this place out then you are missing out. Sooo good. Can’t wait to go back and try the fresh juice.
Bad food. Food smelled bad when served got worse when tasted salad full of stems meat fatty a bad experience
