Dinner here this week. Walked right in on a Tuesday night although a bit earlier than I normally go. Located near the airport and directly in line with the landing strip. Was handed the menu and it was about 8 pages. Lots of choices and dishes. They call themselves a fusion pplace mixing Japanese and Thai. Typical looking price ranges for the dishes. I was happy to see a special with sushi, and Pad Thai. Ordered that and waited to see what showed up. (pictured) Served up like a Bento Box style. California roll was a bit hard on top and possibly made ahead to time. The nigari was luke warm. Pad Thai was good with a nice amount of flavor. The dish was inexpensive at $14.99. Service was typical. No issues just nothing to remarkable either.

In one of those streets which make you feel you would be killed any time, resides Kobe. Yes, I am not exaggerating. The sign which says Kobe is not lit up too! So at 7 in the night when it is dark outside, it is difficult to figure where the place is. We heard from a couple of friends that this place serves really good food so on a Friday evening, we decided to dine here. It’s not well lit up and is a tad bit scary on the outside. The insides are thankfully nicely lit up and the tables are decently placed. There is a sushi counter where you can sit and watch them make sushi as you eat. We were shown to our table and we started deciding on what we wanted to eat. Sarah, our waitress was kind enough to not rush us. Here is what we ordered:Plum Wine Vegetable Roll (This was tasty. It was my first time having sushi and I actually enjoyed it. Although my chopstick skills are not worth mentioning!)Green Curry (Spice level 4, this was tasty. My friend is not high on spice and this was rightly spiced)Red Curry (I got a spice level 8 on a scale of 10 and my friend got a level 7. This was HOT. Being an Indian I need food to be spicy, and this one was. I don’t think I will go beyond 8, ever. This was very tasty. Just be sure of the spice level you want to get and you should be good)Drunken Noodles (My friend got it on the spice level 6. With noodles, you need to be even more careful as curry is served with rice, so it’s a little bit more on the tolerable side if you order a level higher. But noodles is not. This was very tasty and my friend liked it)All these courses were served with Spring Roll and an option of soup/salad. The soup was just okay. But overall the food was really nice and the price was reasonable. And surprisingly it did not feel like a Friday night. Hardly a couple of tables were filled. If we are around, I would definitely go back!
