This is a great little place. It seems to be family owned and run with a real focus on service. The pupusas are not to be missed and are the best you can get in Nashville, maybe all of TN.
Cheap El Salvadorian home cooking. Bare bones and crowded at lunch ( for good reason). Pupusa sales the main draw and they have a number of excellent flavors.
Disappointed after such high reviews. I even went and got cash because they don’t accept credit cards. The food was twice as expensive as other El Salvadorian restaurants that I have been to. To top it off entering the place their is a odor and clearly sanitary issues with this establishment.
Great pupusas. Neighborhood… awful, decor…non-existent, food… awesome! I went on my low carb diet splurge day and could not have picked a better place. I ordered 3 pupusas (queso, chiccaron, and mixta) and a plate of rice and beans. With a bottle of water, I was stuffed for $10.95. The verde sauce is just hot enough!
Amazing value. They have a full menu but we couldn’t get past the Pupusa section. Mixta with pork, beans, and cheese is the current favorite. The only thing unauthentic here are the fake flowers on the table!
Nice change. Stopped there with my wife and kids after reading the Tennessean review. Doesn’t look like much from outside as expected, don’t let that scare you off. The waitress was very nice, and we really enjoyed the meal. It was our first time having a pupusa, and they were really good. We had two stuffed with cheese and beans and two stuffed with beans, cheese and pork. The red sauce it comes with is mild and very good, but I actually loved the heat from the green sauce. Eating the pupusa with the sauces and the pickled cabbage they sent out was very good and something different then you average meal option in Nashville. We also ordered the Pollo Frito (fried chicken) which came with rice and a slaw. It was very good as well and my boys loved it. We also had some fried plantains which were nice as well.If you are feeling a little adventurous and want to try something different, then I’d highly recommend this place.
