Would not recommend this place. Food was okay, not too great not too bad. Service was really terrible. Our waitress took forever to come back to our table to take our order, she never even offered us refills or more salsa. We waited 20 minutes to get our check. Such a bad experience for place with high ratings.
Most Horrible Experience. Had a group of 10 go here for my brother’s last night in town before his move. We are all local Nashvillians and most of us had been to this place MANY times. Even a few were saying how much they liked certain dishes, etc. For my past experiences here the service has been only okay and the food I never thought was anything special compared to other Mexican restaurants. I NEVER write reviews…but was compelled to after tonight- it was so bad. First, the waitress took an extremely long time to take our orders and had the orders screwed up right off the bat. We waited over an hour to even get the first few plates which weren’t even the right orders (none of the food came out together). Then the waitress brought a few out that were sort of correct – but for example the enchilada dish had no cheese and had a lump of wilted lettuce thrown on top with other veggies…which isn’t normal. Another plate had extra sour cream when none was ordered and another was missing some. One person’s plate had an uncooked stuffed pepper and half way melted cheese and it tasted horrible. A few more didn’t get there plates for several more minutes. This is the KICKER. One guy and myself NEVER GOT OUR FOOD AT ALL. He ordered a simple burrito and mine was a chicken taco salad. We waited nearly TWO HOURS– and still never got our food!!!! We had complained a few times and the manager finally came over and only HALF ASSED apologized. He said we still had to pay for the margaritas and most of the food. WE DIDN’T EVEN GET OUR EFFIN’ FOOD!!! I couldn’t believe they DID NOT try to rectify all these problems or at lease offer to comp out food OR ANYTHING AT THE LEAST!!!! The waitress NEVER came back to us after the first few plates were screwed up. EVERYONE IN THE WHOLE PLACE GOT THEIR FOOD AND ATE AND LEFT BY THE TIME THE MANAGER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED US. It was as if the waitress would not serve us. I went straight up to her and asked why we never got food and she kept blaming the food preps. I told her I saw 5 taco salads go by to other tables. SHE NEVER EVEN FILLED OUR WATERS AT ALL. I have been to this place with huge groups and have NEVER had this big of a problem. I feel like we had been discriminated against. I AM ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE AND WILL WARN ANYONE AGAINST IT. I will stick to Tequila’s in West Nashville where the food comes out extremely fast and is always delicious. LA HACIENDA YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
Poor Service and Mediocre Food. I went to La Hacienda Taqueria with a dining group because of the positive recommendations. However, I was very disappointed. First, the Enchiladas Tapatias had half the plate full of plain lettuce on it, which is described as salad on the menu. Then, the steak fajita meat was too dry and overdone. Further, I never saw our waitress smile. I also had to ask for a soda refill after my glass had been empty for a while. Another lady in our group wasn’t told she could have gotten a second drink with the 2 for 1 special until her bill came. A better server would have mentioned that earlier. I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon.
Excellent food, price and service. We went in 5 mins before closing time and asked if it were okay to grab a quick meal….and they were delighted to serve us.
Food was not as we had expected. Under ripe advacato in burrito, but most of all the food quality was poor. Los arcos has raised the bar for this area. 2 good items were salsa and margarita. The drink was not too sour like a lot of places. We will not be back here. Recommend los arcos on nollansville rd instead.
Best Mexican Food in Nashville. You found it. The best Mexican food in Nashville. Order the Classic Burrito, or the a la carte tacos on tiny soft corn tortillas with cilantro and onions – or if you’re adventurous, order the Mocajete – that’s an experience as well as a meal. You can’t go wrong with anything here.
Excellent! I’ve been a long time fan of Mexican food and enjoy a real authentic (NOT Tex-Mex) food. The service is great fast and efficient. It’s a very popular place so I advise you to arrive early or late (not in prime eating time) or be patient as the food is worth it. Everything i have tried is delicious but I must admit I am addicted to the Tamoles!!
