  I really loved this place, the venue was small, and romantic with dim lighting. Because the venue is so small expect a wait but it was completely worth it. If you have a party of four or more you can reserve a table which I would! I ate the Ravioli Bella Mia. Which is a mushroom Ravioli. It was amazing, a sweeter sauce but it was fantastic. My boyfriend got the spaghetti which was also fantastic. If you don’t mind waiting and enjoy romantic settings I would recommend this place! Here’s somethings to consider before going. Parking is kind of rough, we just parked at Mapco which I personally did not mind. The service is not as personable but you have to consider this is a family owned place with a large clientele, so they do the best they can. Fresh pasta does take awhile so your food may not be super fast but it’s completely worth it for the quality and quantity of food.

  I was not impressed. The calamari appetizer tasted like spicy rubber. The mixed green salad was overloaded with what tasted like store bought ranch dressing. No bread was served… What Italian restaurant doesn’t serve bread? The chicken piccata was ok, but just wasn’t as good as other Italian restaurants in town, such as Bria. I would choose Bria over Mama Mia’s hands down.

  Best Italian in Nashville. Expect a wait; it is a small place. No wine but a very reasonable corking fee and there is a liquor/wine store next door.
