Very tasty chicken fingers and fries. Simple and satisfying, with 2 for 1 drafts. Been going to this place for years and will continue to go.

Big thick juicy chicken fingers. Great anyway they make them, grilled, fried, tossed, all good. Unique sauces for the chicken fingers. Large pile of fries to go with the fingers. A little pricey, but for what you get, it is worth it.

Why change the fries?. What happened to the French fries? They changed from smaller to a more standard size and go a little heavy on the salt. Preferred the old style. Chicken tenders and sauces are still good though.04 Mar, 2013Fresh Makes a Difference. McDougal’s touts its chicken is fresh never frozen. Based on what we’ve had there it makes a difference. The menu is limited, but they do what they offer in the best way. Their chicken fingers are a step ahead of others we’ve had. They’re available fried, grilled or tossed in sauce. A wide variety of sauces are available for the tossing or dipping. The chicken is very tender, properly cooked yet remains juicy. If you get it fried, it’s not overly breaded. Grilled stays moist and is a really good alternative. Their fries are shoestring style and really good. Proper potatoes, not industrial processed. Several beers on tap and self serve soda and tea. A really funky look with the walls covered in everything you can think of, and McDougal’s remains family friendly with several childern there when we are. The outside sitting area is a great front porch view of the neighborhood. Service is friendly and helps the whole experience. Parking is tough. Prices are a little higher than some other places, but the quality of the product is top. Don’t forget your free ice cream! We’ll be back soon.

Mcdougal’s. Greasy fries and just average chicken..had high hopes for this place, since it is close to my work…nope! Disappointed! You’re better off going to Chic-fil-a

How a Buffalonian sees it. Being from Buffalo, when it comes to wings I have a certain standard……and McDougal’s lives up to it for sure! Cooked perfectly and the sauces are delightful. The chicken fingers are large and unwieldy which makes the batter prone to fall off, but that being said, are definitely fresh and delicious. The fries, on the other hand, were over seasoned, like waaaaaaaay over seasoned! But hey, if you’re going to this place for fries, you’re going for the wrong reason. Atmosphere is great, employees were friendly enough, and overall an enjoyable experience.

Fried not grilled. I love this place and could drink the gold sauce straight. I do recommend the fried fingers, not the grilled. The grilled are good but the fried are outstanding. Now if only they would sell me the cast iron pig at the end of the bar…

Really Great. Wonderful fried chicken fingers and fries. A great location next to the Belcourt Theater. Has 6 sauces to pick from I suggest the honey bee.
