Not a fan. Place doesn’t look clean at all. Food is frozen off the food service delivery truck. Not much flavor and when they cook it, it’s greasy. General’s chicken was very over-deep fried, hard to chew. No specific flavor to the egg rolls. No helpful interaction with the counter guy when I asked my only simple question. Other places execute this formula better.

Yuck.. I knew it was going to be bad when the delivery driver accidentally spit on me asking me for a pen to sign my receipt at my door. First and foremost the guy that answered the phone was extremely rude and asked us how much money we were going to spend if we wanted it delivered when I called. How in the heck am I supposed to know that? The Crab Rangoon was soaked in a pool of oil at the bottom of the bag. The sesame chicken was made with store bought sauce and the chicken was extremely mushy and soggy. The rice was good is about the only nice thing I can say about this experience. Be warned I wouldn’t take the time to write this if it wasn’t terrible and didn’t feel people should know.

We normally like this restaurant and have probably ordered from them ~20 times. They are lightning fast with their delivery and the food is pretty good. It’s not amazing, but it’s Chinese take-out, so it’s good for what it is. But tonight we had a really bad experience. We placed our order over the phone. The woman was short with her answers, kind of talking over me as I ordered. I asked for less sauce on my entree, which is always something I do, and I could tell she didn’t even listen to me or understand what I was saying. It wasike she was just trying to get me off the phone. When it came to the delivery the driver called twice on his way. Instead of the normal 15 minutes it takes for delivery, it was an hour and 45 minutes. The food was not hot and it was not good. The spring rolls tasted doughy and lacked flavor. They are usually very hot, crispy and peppery. My general tso’s chicken had more sauce than usual and it tasted like overly sweet barbecue sauce that was starting to congeal. The mei fun noodles had a decent flavor but we’re not hot; they were barely room temperature. When I called back to complain the same lady put me on hold and when she came back I had to repeat my story to her. I explained that we were normally very happy, but tonight was one thing after the other and we wanted a refund. She acted confused and said they had just made my food and she didn’t understand. I just said thank you and hung up. She clearly wasn’t going to give my money back. We’ll try them one more time because this is the first time we’ve had a bad experience. Hopefully tonight was a fluke.

Love. My family loves no.1 chinese. The food is very fresh. There are other places in the Hermitage area but the food is dry and bland. No. 1 chinese has a lot of flavor and i love that they give you fried rice and an egg roll with all combos, most places just give white rice.
