If we could rate a negative 5 (-5) for Richard’s Cafe we would rate this place a NEGATIVE 10 (-10)!!! Had a $40.00 dinner for 3 and what we ordered was so sad and disappointing; we each didn’t even make it through half our meal!!! 1.) We started with an appetizer of Fried Mushrooms. We needed to ask for extra dipping sauce for each of us for flavor.2.) My Husband had a Fried Shrimp Half Po-Boy with Fries. There was more bland breading on the shrimp; no flavor whatsoever, but from the mayo. The fries my husband had were NOT EVEN FRIES!! What was on his plate were greasy soggy sliced potatoes; just soaking in grease on his plate.3.) My Husband’s Daughter had a Half Roast Beef Po-Boy with Onion Rings. The Roast Beef was more like Beef Jerky and the Onion Rings had no flavor for taste just the oil it was fried in; just and onion ring in greasy batter. 4.) I had a Bowl of the Jambalaya from the appetizer menu… Definitely not Creole Jambalaya; more like sticky rice that was sitting in tomato juice and seasoned heavily with cumin. Had to add salt, pepper and the lime that came with my Husband’s Sprite. Service was horrible… Should have figured it wasn’t worth it when the last reviews to Richard’s Cafe were posted 2 years ago.
