Best pad thai in Nashville. Having traveled extensively and eaten at well over 200 thai restaurants, I can tell you this place rivals my favorite NYC pad thai place. This is what pad thai should taste like, base every place else off of this place. Get the Som Thom as an appetizer, it’s not on the menu but ask for it. Thom Ka soup is excellent as well.Nice atmosphere, rarely ever extremely busy, Great staff and excellent chefs. Almost feels like a secret place that not every knows about.
Food was great. Service was excellent. The server took time to talk to us and help make selections based on our personal taste. Very artistic presentation. Staff very friendly!
Not for Vegans. I eat at plenty of Thai restaurants, around Nashville and otherwise, and this restaurant couldn’t provide me with any of the meals I was interested in because they already had fish sauce mixed in them. This tells me something very important: all of their foods are in mixed frozen bags in the back. If they can’t create a curry for me from SCRATCH without fish sauce then I’m spending a lot of my money for something I could have bought at the store. When I go out to eat I assume that someone is in the back COOKING something, not heating something up. Not to mention that it took the server forever to give us service and the information we wanted. We went down the street to Golden Thai where I have been assured over and over again that there is no fish sauce in the curries.
Very pleased! No complaints,
Pad Thai. It was ok, but had very little flavor and was dry. Compared to Siam Cafe, it was two cuts below. The spring rolls thatyou got with lunch were a joke. So small, they should be deleted. With all of the 5 star ratings, I along with my wife were disappointed. I likely will not return.
Pad Thai Only. I like the Pad Thai, but my togo order has had shrimp in it twice when I specifically asked for chicken only. The appetizers are not fresh and my father once had part of the plastic freezer wrap in his crab cake. The staff is very nice and the apologized once we could flag them down. Getting the staff’s attention can also take too long. I also heard that the duck was dry… just get Pad Thai, or simply go to The Smiling Elephant. They never do you wrong.
Good food – good atmosphere. Good food, portions were a little on the small side – but well prepared and yummy.
