Think I’ve found my new favorite Korean spot. Located in a small strip mall next to Sam’s Club, it’s rather unassuming from the outside. Inside, it’s larger than it looks, clean, decorated and they even have a room that can be made into a private area for groups. One thing I don’t get is the TV’s. They seem out of place. But the food sure isn’t. The tofu soup (vegetarians take note, it has meat too) is complex, spicy and really great. The dolsot bibimibap has the crusty rice, lots of veggies and meat and is full of flavor. The bonchon (small side dishes) are also very good, and they’re good about asking if you need refills. I also like that they automatically give you a bottle of gochujang, as I always want more. The seafood noodles come with a variety of seafood (clams, mussles, shrimp, etc.) The noodles are a soft kind. Our service has been very good. Prices are a little higher than some other places, but their product is more too. Do note their hours, as they close between lunch and dinner. We like So Gong and are looking forward to our next time there.
