TAPS. My first time going to this place was last week to see Scott Coner play. I was very impressed! The atmosphere was perfect, the people were friendly, and the food was very impressive. Also, they had a special on their wine that night. Def a great place to visit.
Drunken Bartender. What a train wreck this place was. I was in there on a Monday night and sat at the bar. The lady bar tender was taking shots with her friends… she was already wobbly. and can just image as the night wore on she was going to be tanked. Is that even legal? I ordered one of their stuffed burgers (before i saw she was on her way to getting tanked) and it took about 45 minutes to get out. At one point i asked what the status of my order was and the lady bar tender went to the back… and in a few minutes the cook came to the front and they both proceeded to have a big argument… right in front of everyone. I should have asked for my tab and left right then…. but didn’t. When the burger came… it was totally disappointing. it wasn’t even average…. and they are supposedly known for their burgers. My advice…. stay away from this place! I don’t expect it will be open long.
Great art and great food. My friends and I stumbled upon this neat restaurant and bar. The art is absolutely amazing!!! We will for sure be back! Check it out! Great location.
Great Burgers!. I had heard of Taps and Tapas before, but I never went. I read in the City Paper that they turned into a stuffed burger joint and I decided to check it out with a friend. I had the Balboa and she had the Hell’s Kitchen. We were really liked the decor and the layout of the place. The burgers took a minute to cook, but not so long that they we noticed. When they came out, they were fantastic. We also enjoyed the variety of fries/sides. I’m a big fry person, so having options is great. I think I will go back, and I’m going to try some of their tacos and bbq.
Service sux!!. We went to listen to some friends perform and came hungry as we planned to enjoy their much hyped stuffed burgers. When we finally got a server to notice us hidden at a table in front of the stage( where they had to go past us to do almost anything) Another table offered us a menu to look at. We did get water all around…no refills….would have loved to order some food…but never had an opportunity. I’d suggest you eat before you go.
Great lunch!. One of the best lunches I’ve had in Nashville. Absolutely delicious burgers, fried green tomatoes and Greek salad. Very generous portions and totally reasonable price. They have redone the menu and are trying to pick up lunch business. Service was outstanding, so, given some of the negative reviews I see on here, I’d guess things have greatly improved. I’d definitely go back.
