This is not one of the tony sections of Nashville, but to stumble upon this small restaurant was a delight. The Pho Ga (Viet chicken noodle soup) was delicious, as was the seafood Pho. The Vietnamese spring rolls with peanut sauce were very good. Our waitress really made the meal. She was cheerful, helpful, attentive when needed, and seemed to love her job. After a long day, we left here feeling refreshed. The clientele here was mostly Asian or Hispanic families, obviously very happy to have dinner there, visiting, talking, and enjoying their meals. Thai, Viet, Laos, and Japanese food. Very good Thai beer.Dinner for two, with an appetizer, and four beers, with tax and tip, was about $40.Based on our experience, and our observation of the local folks who were really digging being there, this place gets a solid 5.One caution: If you like chain restaurants, chatty waitresses who want to exchange names, and kitchy food names, this is not your place. Stay away. If you like really good, honest Asian food, and if you like to feel welcome, this is the place for you.

My mother owns a restaurant and I am very familiar with how things run. That being said, I ordered the pad thai – I took one bite and all I can taste was lime. I asked if she could take it back and she said she would still charge me. I repeat – I took ONE bite. Her reason was they would be losing money. I asked if I could order something else in place of it and she said yes but she still had to charge me for the pad thai. I have NEVER heard of a business doing that. The pad thai was terrible (which is a standard dish) and the workers are very rude. Bad business – I will not return.

Best Thai/Vietnamese food. Authentic, flavorful and great customer service. My mother is Thai and is an amazing cook. The food at Thai Papaya is in close completion with mom’s home cooking.

The food is good but the service is 0 out of 10. They are the rudest people ever. It’s mainly 1 person in particular that is ver very rude. The first time I ate here I was standing in the front waiting for them to open and a lady(the rude one) was walking up to the building. I looked and said hi and she gave me a crazy state and rolled her eyes. She went around the building. Well when the place was open she was my waitress lol. I decided to give this place another shot, went in at 10:26 and ask to place a to go order and she look surprised and confused and said we’re not open yet. We open at 10:30 and walked off like I was not there. While a whole 4 minutes. I will never go back to that place. Stay away from here if unless you enjoy being disrespected and looked at as if you are not suppose to eat here.

Their sushi is good, pho is good. Didn’t really have a problem today. I ordered half rack of duck whick is half a duck and I got like 5 pieces of duck with barely any meat on it and they tried to convince me it was half. It was not, there was half a ducks leg but no thigh, 2 breast pieces, no wing. The whole breast was not present, the wing was not present, thigh and the rest of leg was not present. And they tried to tell me it was half a duck. I am not pleased and was ripped off. I paid $15 for it. I brought it up and nothing was done.

Sushi is good and a great deal. Thai is above average but service is awful. If you have time to kill its a perfect fit.

THE BEST!. One of the best thai restaurant in my area. i find myself going there almost every month. the sushi is really tasty. Pad Kee Mao is one of my favorites and it taste like just how my mom would make it, the Pho too any restaurant get props from me if it makes me feel like i just had a home cooked meal. the red curry was oh so amazing. but the pad thai was borderline ok. one of the ingredients in the sauce is tamarind and i tasted way too much of that in the dish. but personally i dont like the taste of tamarind so maybe that can be disregarded.
