I was given a 100.00 gift card for toyamas shortly after receiving I tried to use it and they say that no longer accept gift cards, basically they take people’s money and don’t honor their word. #crooked
The food here is good, but it’s quite possibly the worst service at any restaurant in Nashville. The owner/manager has no concept of how to operate a restaurant. There’s consistently no one available to even seat customers as they arrive, and after waiting for 10-15 minutes for someone to even greet us, if you approach a server or the manager himself, he’s a total jerk about it and tells you to go stand by the door. It’s awful and appalling. Additionally, we’ve called in to-go orders a number of times and told it would be 15-20 minutes until the food will be ready. Every single time we arrive 20 minutes after placing the order, and wait anywhere from 20 to an additional 45 minutes for the food to be ready. That’s insane! We will not be returning or spending our money there anymore. We’ve consistently experienced this over multiple visits and have learned that poor service is the rule, rather than the exception. It’s unfortunate because the food is actually good. But there are too many other great hibachi places in Nashville where management understands the concept of customer service and general restaurant operations. Save yourself the hassle and frustration. Pick another place.
