Just kinda meh…. My husband and I went out for a nice afternoon in Green Hills because I needed an ingredient from Whole Foods. We love to try new places when we are out. The manager was wonderful!! He walked us through the menu and took our order. He raved about the hummus, which was a little bland and watery. I went with the greek chicken marinara with orzo. The Greek part was the salad that was served with my entree. The salad with fresh green peppers and vegetables was the best part of the entire experience. Orzo was orzo, plain, boring and dry. Orzo topped with marinara sauce, and supposed to be chicken. I asked my husband if he saw chicken on my plate, and it was there, the order was correct, it was simply hidden by the overwhelming amount of sauce and the underwhelming amount of chicken. Had a hard time eating any of it. My husband had the better of our two meals, he had the spinach wraps and potato salad. Potato salad without mustard or mayo. Weird texture. Spinach wraps were actually decent. Nothing we would go back specifically for, but I want to give credit where credit is due.All in all it was not a great visit and the food was not very good, but we certainly paid for it to be, almost $30 for two entrees, hummus and a drink that we shared. Next time I will stick to Panera. I am so sorry that I didn’t take pictures…the silver personal pan pizza plate with wax paper a Styrofoam plate and plastic-ware alone was reason enough to lower the price, much less the lack of taste and complexity in the food.

Decent option for quick, healthy meal. I was initially quite reluctant to try Zoes because I falsely presumed it would be just another sandwich shop full of bland entrees I’ve had a 1000 times before. Who wants another version of Subway or Panera? Not me!Anyway, my wife and I decided we’d try Zoe’s for lunch. I ended up liking the experience. I had a greek salad with chicken. While the food wasn’t really amazing (i.e. the chicken was a bit bland) or overly unique, it was good. I like the fast service and Mediterranean style. So, the way I see it, Zoes is like an edgier, Mediterranean/healthy version of McAlister’s Deli. It certainly has it’s place and I would definitely go back. Also — this place is kid friendly. I noticed lots of options for kids and highchairs abound.
