Lugo’s lunch….. What a pleasant find on Main Street in downtown Dickson for lunch Saturday. This classy, casual little place shows off the excellent efforts of Johnson&Wales trained chef Victor Lugo and his wife. Lovely menu with something to suit everyone. Looking forward to returning soon and experiencing the dinner menu. Be aware they are only open Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat for lunch 11-2 and dinner 5-9. An asset to Dickson’s dining scene. Worth the 30 minute drive from Nashville. Bravo.
Could be a top restaurant in any major city. I work on a major music tour based in Nashville. Our department head lives near Dickson and chose Lugo’s for our end-of-tour/Christmas party. About 40 people attended on a night when Lugo’s is normally closed. Our host and I have eaten at many fine steak and seafood houses across the US, Canada and Europe over the past few years. Despite being located far inland in a small town of 15,000, 30 miles west of Nashville, Lugo’s is equal to or better than the best of these restaurants. After rounds of starters for the table and spinach salads, my wife had a filet and I had the bouillabaisse. Her filet was perfectly cooked (rare) and the bouillabaisse was great. Their wine list is not huge, but has some very good selections. What really amazed us was the service. Lugo’s has a capacity of ~ 50-60. They seated 40 of us at the same time! That is tough for any restaurant or chef, but all of our orders came out promptly and correctly. I’m not talking about your typical hotel special event, when you can have chicken, fish or beef, and white or red wine. We were all ordering different wines, cocktails and beer. We never had to wait for refills. Don’t miss the Creme Brule.We live in Atlanta and drove to Dickson just for this event. It was worth the drive. I spend 7-8 nights per year in Dickson or nearby Burns. I will now try to plan these night around the nights Lugo’s is open. Victor and Jennifer operate the kind of place that we’d like to visit as often as possible.

WOW. This place is simply amazing. Very professional. Great atmosphere. Chicken Cordon Blu is the best I have ever tasted. I highly recommend dining here. Best restaurant in Dickson by far.
Regular. We eat at Lugo’s regularly. Have never had a bad dish. The staff are friendly and make you feel that they are there for your own person pleasure. I recommend Lugo’s to all my friends and anyone who asks about a great place for dinner. I would eat there every night if I could.
