Snobs. Weve eaten here a few times and the food is always satisfying but the service leaves a lot to be desired. During our last visit, the pregnant server was incredibly rude. When we got our check, the gratuity was already included. I guess that explains why they don’t have to try hard to be friendly. Don’t think well be going back.
Overall great experience!. Went there for lunch with my husband and 2 daughters a few weeks ago. We were all very hungry after our tours and a bit cranky. Our moods were instantly uplifted after reading over the menu at the front of the restaurant and greeted by the sweet hostess, she asked us where we were from and engaged in conversation with our two young girls about nashville and they just loved her. After we were seated we were very ready to order and also had a good/well informed server. It was so exciting for us to get to eat in the lobby of the hall of fame, there was much to look at and discuss and the atmosphere was just riveting. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy and was extremely satisfied. I highly recommend it to anyone! My husband got the Cheese Steak, I had a bite of it and was amazed at the flavor. Also the yam fries were the best I’d ever had. The girls got the chicken fingers and loved them. We had such a great time at the museum and were very pleased with the restaurant inside it, we will definitely tell our friends and be back next year or for the CMA fest which the girls want to go to.
HORRID. Went there Feb, 5, 2012 for my birthday brunch. Wow what a disappointment. I had read only good reviews but it was a complete letdown. Food was cold. Wait staff inattentive.
Great Brunch. My woman and I stopped by for brunch. I had the cinnamon and nutmeg waffles. The woman had eggs Benedict. Both were very good and the prices were very reasonable.
Great Experience. After touring the Country Music Hall of Fame, we were looking for suggestions on dining OUTSIDE the museum. But one of the employees suggested we check out the menu for 2 2 2. Sure that it would be 1) too expensive, 2) too gourmet or 3) too exclusive, we weren’t sure. But after checking the menu we decided to give it a shot. What a pleasant surprise — the food was delicious, the variety was broad and the cost was very affordable. We enjoyed the experience immensely, and will be sure to recommend it in the future, as well as checking it out ourselves whenever we are there again.
Great Place. This place has really good food and good service. If you are touring the museum you must stop in and eat there. Not many places offer the foods they offer and not many places cook from scratch.
Suprisingly Amazing!. When my wife and I walked in to the Country Music Hall of Fame, we had time to kill before our bus tour, and both happened to be starving. We reluctantly took a seat in the restaurant, after all how good can museum food actually be? Thank god we did, we were greeted promptly and the host told us the specials and soups of the day. Our server Vince came and took our drink orders and suggested the local beer and wine. We both ordered the local Yazoo beer which was above average. After taking Vince’s suggestion on the smoked chicken and my wife with the chicken avocado salad, we enjoyed our beer and Vince was happy to tell us about the ins and outs of Nashville. Our food took a few minutes to arrive, but well worth the wait. I couldn’t believe a touristy museum could have such quality food. Our bill arrived, with our 10% off coupon (if you take the bus tour) and an added 18% gratuity, which we were curious about with only 2 people. Vince explained that because of the large amount of overseas tourists, that a tip was added to every check. Looking back it makes sense, we actually gave him extra for being so hospitable. I know 222 isn’t a destination restaurant, but if I make it back to Nashville, I may be tempted to give it another round!
