So I’m the girl who always orders the BBQ sauce on the side for her ribs and no A1 or other steak sauce on her medium rare steak…. I like to taste the meat. I dont want my tongue burned off to the point where you can’t taste anything and only feel heat. So when my co-worker insisted on 400 Degrees for hot chicken for lunch, I was excited because I had never had it. Newly transplanted to Nashville, I instantly latched on to Hattie B’s after just one try because the chicken was just that good (though I learned that Medium is a little too hot for me so my Hattie of choice is Mild). For my 400 Degrees lunch, I ordered a 100 Leg Quarter with fries. Skin? Crispy and flavorful. Underneath? A disaster. Bland bland bland! If you dont take a bite of the chicken with some skin, you may as well eat paper. I’m highly disappointed. The 2 stars are for the skin and the tender, juicy, but non flavorful meat.I just finished eating it 10 minutes ago right before starting this review. It was just that bad.
