The new Spring menu is awesome. They still have some old favorites like the brussel sprouts and hot cauliflower, and some awesome new additions like the seared scallops and ceviche. Margaritas and Sangria are pretty outstanding as well.
Sorry but this was a bit of a letdown for us. Maybe due to stacking great places in before it.Smart space, some outdoor seating and a vibe like we have seen in a number of spots around town. The food was good. Not great, good. Three small plates, a salad and one of the entree portions. They were out of two items we originally wanted, one tapas and one entree. At 730 on Friday night.Service was good but did get a bit spotty as out guy looked to be stretched a bit thin maybe. One big disappointment was the underwhelming Shine-gria. I suppose it might have been that we know good sangria from other cities like Miami and Tampa as well as making it. I also was sold by the waiter on a $15 glass of Southern Belle wine and got a somewhat paltry pour. Not impressed. As a matter of fact you can tell a money machine place by exacting small wine pours and charging extra for more chips for the Tuna Guac after getting four at the outset. The tapas here are more Americanized it seems and none really stood out. We did enjoy the Nashville Cauliflower. The best dish for us was the salad we ordered with Arugula and friends. Might return and sit at bar for a drink and a sandwich but unlikely to drop $140 again.
I was visiting Nashville with my girlfriend last summer. We decided our first day there we would walk to get something to eat and sightsee. We picked a restaurant that was about a mile away but figured we would build up an appetite. Not thinking about the fact that it was 96F outside we made it to .7 miles before she started to have a melt down…literally. She stopped and sat down on the sidewalk under the awning for shade when I noticed a sign that said something about a sangria/margarita swirl. I looked at the window and saw that it was a tapas bar. I was familiar with tapas and tried to explain the concept to her. But as the heat was affecting her brains ability to think I went for the easy sale. She likes sangria…she likes margarita. Let’s go try a swirl and cool down. It worked! After we cooled down we went on to order the best chicken and steak tacos either of us had ever had. The waiter helped us with our order and explained how they make their own sriracha and how the meats were prepared. We went back two more times before leaving to go back to Des Moines, IA. I would move to Nashville just for Americano!
Nice scenery but the menu is kind of limited. Service wasn’t anything spectacular but good given our party(15+). Drinks are actually very good, try the nectar bourbon. Food portions are small given the price, I had the quail and it was seasoned well, but the portion was still small. If worried about what to order stick with the guacamole or the Brussels sprout.
Tapas Tuesday is a scam. Website clearly states 1/2 price Tapas and specialty cocktails on Tuesday. Bill arrived and I was told this is an error on the website. Food was good but customer service was horrible.
Good burger… awful mushrooms… awful mussels and chorizo… great service though!Cool patio but just can’t get over the bad food :(Overpriced bad food… stick with what works.
Amazing food, service and vibe. Highly recommend the sangria swirl, Brussels sprouts, hot cauliflower and the tuna guacamole. They also have a great patio for people watching on West End ave.
