The service was the worst and for what you pay……so was the food. If you’re feeling lucky you can give it a try….just hope you don’t get Amanda E as your server
They stopped taking take out orders at 8:20pm because they were too busy?! For a place that stays open until 1:00am that is very disappointing.
Me and my boyfriend are visiting for his bday and we decided that we were over the country scene and ready for some blues! The music was awesome! And the food was great as well. Even though my license was expired and I couldn’t drink (which the waitress went and asked the manager…and she came over and explained the situation to me which I thought was very nice) I still had a ball! I recommend this to everyone!
I’m a fan of BB King’s Blues Club. I visit every time I’m in Nashville. I can count on hearing great live music. I tend to be in town for business and like to visit BB King’s on my first night in town (generally Sunday’s) before I head to business meetings Monday morning. Every band I have heard play here has been solid. And then there’s the food…it’s delicious. My favorite appetizer is the fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes are served with herbed cream cheese, strawberry jam and caramelized onion marmalade. They are all delicious. I tend to pile it all on. It’s a flavor explosion in my mouth. The sweetness of the jam and onions pairs well with the tart acidity of the green tomato. Hands down my favorite entree is the Carolina BBQ Salmon. Wow! The BBQ salmon is served over creamed corn and Andouille sausage, with plump shrimp and crispy onions. It is so yummy! I keep meaning to try dessert here but I’m always so full that I don’t have room. The desserts on the menu sound yummy. The wine list is only so-so. The wait staff are consistently friendly. Because the live music is so loud, this location is not a good choice for an intimate dinner. It can be a challenge to carry on a conversation over the music. However, if your group loves music and good food, BB King’s is a great option.
Great Night in Nashville. My husband and I had dinner here last night on the last night of our first trip to Nashville and had a fabulous time. Intially we were sat in a less than desirable spot but they were very accommodating to get us in a better spot. My dinner was delicious (Carolina BBQ Salmon). So good that we were discussing how we will reproduce this dish at home. My husband had the brisket, which was very good as well, but once he had a bite of my salmon I think he was jealous. The band that night was J. CURLY SPEEGLE & THE DEAL and they were phenomenal. It’s loud in there when a band is on, but when the music is this good, you don’t mind not being able to have a conversation. They took a few intermissions, which gave time to talk. This was by far our best night in Nashville. If you want a break from the country music you can’t go wrong here.
