I love this coffee shop! I had a delicious mocha iced coffee while watching Bob Ross on the television. Great vibe and friendly staff. Comfortable chairs and huge windows so you can people watch. 🙂

The cashier was less than happy as can be ! I asked for a cold chai with no ice and got a hot chai then I told them she made a cold chai with a full cup of ice when I told her that she dumped out if ice that left half the drink ! The cookie I got was not fantastic either . PASS

I went to Belmont. I drank lots o Bongo. HAAAAAAAAATE the remodel. Looks silly and totally killed the literal coffee HOUSE vibe. I’ll keep going back. I love the coffee. I used to love the feel of the place. I had so much faith in the Bongo Java team for this remodel. The porch had been in rough shape, I know. But the ball was dropped and now I’ll be sad every time I come. 🙁

Absurdly Self Important. I love Bongo Java and have been to the East Nashville location numerous times. I got a hugely UNPLEASANT surprise when I went to this one for a quick, cheap lunch bite. I got a small latte and the ‘Southern Comfort’ sandwich – a humble turkey sandwich with brie on cranberry bread – nothing fancy, pre-packaged and in the refrigerator. There was no price on the sandwich, but since it was pre-packaged and in the refrigerator I had no concern about the price. Well… I dumbly handed over my card prior to being rung up. I was absolutely floored to see that my total was $17.05. The cold, humble sandwich was $11.00 and a (very) small latte was $4.25. Absolutely not worth the price and I will be finding other places (any other place in the area is cheaper) to grab a quick lunch. Most unfortunate that they find themselves so elite that they have to charge NYC Sofitel prices. First and last visit to that Bongo Java location.

I haven’t really experienced any of the other options Nashville has to offer so I can’t provide any relative feedback. I can however provide absolute feedback. Their coffee is substantially above average, their baristas are skilled, specific drinks are served in the correct size cups, etc… Overall many times better than Starbucks.
