Had a really good time here last night. Not just a resterant, they have a full bar and most nights live music. Food was not to bad. Most everything from scratch. Good prices. We will return for the food and music.

Great Dive Food.. We had an overnight stay in Nashville on the way to Memphis. My niece and her fiance live there so we asked if they wanted to meet up for breakfast. We asked them to pick a place and they chose Charlie Bobs. They had never eaten there either.It is strictly Diner/Dive and one of the very few places I have ever eaten breakfast that has a bandstand complete with instruments. They werent too crowded at 9am Saturday and our waitress way very attentive and friendly. We arrived about 15 minutes early and drank a pot of their great coffee; rich and full bodied and better than most. My normal breakfast order is 3 eggs over easy, Wheat Toast and double bacon (extra crisp.) I added hash browns with onions. A normal order of bacon is 2 to 4 strips. I was very surprised to find 10 strips of bacon on my plate when my order arrived. Obviously, a single order would have been enough. Everything was cooked to my liking. I also got to taste their biscuits an gravy off my daughters plate; in a word, fantastic. We all enjoyed our meals and the damage for six of us was under $60.00 including tip. My only complaint was that, according to the waitress, part of the kitchen staff had been sent out on some catering emergency and it took an inordinate amount of time for us to get our food. It didnt bother us much as we had time to visit and drink more of their great coffee. I would take Charlie Bobs over IHOP, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans any day.
