Very friendly staff, very cool place to read a book, and a good cup of coffee. Every thing you would want in a coffee shop.

Rude. I am a regular customer there. I go there very often on my lunch break to rejuvenate. I was just there laying my head on the table for a grand total of about 5 minutes, and the owner comes up and completely embarrasses me in front of a group of people, asking if I was ok in a tone that clearly stated he thought it was rude that I be taking a nap in his coffee shop. It’s not like I had been sprawled out for an hour. I didn’t appreciate that – Dunn Bros. was a place I thought I could relax while having a rough day, but apparently that’s not allowed.

Insolent Condescending Treatment. Today, I went to Dumb (Dunn) Bros Coffee on 4th and Church St in Nashville, Tn with my girlfriend for some coffee. I happened to have some sausage yeast rolls with me (which they don’t sell). Even though I had bought coffee from them, a woman came up to us, stood over us and said in a condescending tone this was the second time I had brought food into the place and not to do it again. We were insulted so when I asked for my money back on the coffee I had just bought, the owner came out and berated me in front of about 12 other customers saying there is a sign on the door and I had intentionally disrespected his business by bringing food in with me. Well, the sign was not on the door but off to one side, it was dog-eared and in a fancy and unclear font. Beside the fact that I have poor eyesight and am not in the habit of scrutinizing every paper pasted to glass store fronts. The owner clearly did not see my thick glasses and presumed that I was a jackass. I might be short-sited and need glasses but the owner of this store, who wears no glasses, is shorted-sited when it comes to treating customers with respect and giving them the benefit of a doubt. The disrespect the owner presumed I was giving him exists only in his head because he chose to take offense when none was intended. When I left, this fellow followed me and my girlfriend to the door and when I tried to apologize for unknowingly violating the conditions required to do business with him, he would have nothing to do with it. DON’T GO TO DUNN BROS COFFEE! There is a Starbucks across the street. Go there instead.

Bitter. Nice coffee shop, friendly service. Americano was nasty. Very bitter, not well prepared at all. Breakfast pretzel was reheated in plastic wrap in the microwave (can anyone say BPA?). soggy and unappealing with the worst kind of processed ham.

Great place for a tea . . . Great folks to chat with . . . Great art on the walls. Plus, working in the L&C, I don’t have brave the weather.

Correction Cindy. The coffee was $21 per pound and being an engineer it’s easy to tell the difference in volume. Starbucks gives you mor for less money. Get a life and stop smoking or using drugs something has damaged your brain

Someones got their facts wrong. In reference to the last few negative comments, the size of the dunn brothers cups are the same as starbucks and in fact they have one more shot of espresso in each size than starbucks at no additional charge. also they do not carry one bean that cost $20 a pound so i don’t know where these delusional facts are coming from. i am a regular customer here and have always received excellent service and excellent coffee from a staff that knows me and usually has my drink ready for me before i get to the register. sounds like this robert/hooty13/mary/billy person needs to just stay at starbucks where they are happy instead of making things up about this excellent establishment.
