Phenomenal food & top notch service. We went to Epice for my mother’s birthday dinner. Because of our large party, we were seated on the more private patio area. The owner was beyond friendly and made great menu suggestions! He even carried around my sister’s infant while we ate. Our waitress was wonderful as well. My mom said it was her favorite birthday meal ever (and we’ve tried all of the popular restaurants around town). The 10 of us each got a different dish and shared- everything was so delicious! If you’re a local or a visitor, Epice is not to be missed!
Went there for the first time on Veteran’s Day 2014. My Father is a veteran of Vietnam. No reservation. Sorry but it is 12th Avenue. Many amazing restaurants in the area. The owner could have just politely said no, we are booked. but was extremely rude to my parents. He acted like we had offended him in some way. Seated us anyway (rudely, right in the sun). Server was very nice though. Food was the same as he peddles in Green Hills. Not bad but no reason to waste your time or money. Anatolia is superb. We always have a great experience there. The owner of Epice/Kalamata needs to stay out of the picture and Epice might do well. Jerk. Will not go back to Epice, but 12th avenue restaurants are amazing in general. Great neighborhood!
Full flavored food. While many restaurants will serve food that only look like ethnic mediterranean food, this place has provided the full experience of true mediterranean herbs and spices, highly recomend it.
5:50 on a Wednesday. Out of the 20+ tables, maybe 4 were occupied? But because we were 22min late for our 5:30 reservation they would not seat us – not even as a walk-in. They turned away customers from an empty restaurant and ruined our night in the process. And, they were so rude about it (the host actually pointed to his watch and glared at us!) that I would not even go back if I was on time for my reservation. Very disappointing.
This is by far my favorite restaurant in Nashville. The customer service was extraordinary, Mehar was an amazing host, the food was awesome, the atmosphere divine. I highly suggest reservations, even though we didn’t and they seamlessly found us a table, it could have easily gone the other way. Will be back often!
Magnificent. The positive reviews here are spot on. This’ll be a regular spot for us.
