I stopped in for a quick lunch. I felt like I’d stepped back to simpler times! Everything was very classic. I could tell the dishes were probably still the originals. My husband and I each had the Denver Omelet with Rye Toast.The omelet was prepared with more cheese than I would use but, it was still pretty tasty and dining out is an opportunity to eat like you wouldn’t normally eat. This was classic down home food!I try to be fairly health conscious when I dine out but it was a little difficult at this location. There didn’t appear to be an option to sub out the potatoes for fruit or a side salad, however I also did not think to ask. I especially liked how the chef did not apply butter to the toast but served it on the side. Small things like that help in this calorie saturated world. The potatoes were delicious. The chefs were very focused and not engaged in the servers chatter – nice!This is a great location for fast service, classic foods without the fuss and great dollar value. It reminded me of time-gone-by.
