This was a special treat for our anniversary dinner. Such a nice place. Food was really good. Love the local, Southern, farm to table concepts. Everything about it was a great experience.
Not worth the hype at all. Honestly I don’t think I’d want to come back. I didn’t take good pictures of our food since the lighting was off but on the menu that day we ordered the springer mountain chicken and the pork prime rib. Now the only thing I absolutely LOVED was the chicken. Just the chicken though, not the sides that came with it. We did not like the pork prime rib plate at all. Obviously my taste buds are my own so what I like very well may not be what you like and these kinds of flavor combos just did not do anything for me at all. The building is gorgeous inside and out. We went for my birthday and our waiter was by far one of the best waiters, if not the best, I’ve ever had! He brought out dessert and champagne to celebrate and it was super thoughtful! Also the drinks were delicious. The waiter made this review a 3.5 honestly.
It’s pretty good. Unfortunately I went on a Sunday night and maybe that’s why the execution was just not quite there. I do think the service is fantastic, the food inventive, and the building beautiful.
Came here because I went to Husk in South Carolina and am a big fan of Chef Sean Brock. While the service at that restaurant was exemplary the service here left quite a bit to be desired. I felt like I walked into a vapor shop/ beard convention in Brooklyn. Not only was he not knowledgeable at all about the menu but insulted our taste in whiskey and a friend of mine came back to my table and said the waitstaff was talking negatively about our table who were just enjoying ourselves and being very respectful. Husk should be ashamed of the behavior of their waitstaff. When going to a restaurant with a respected name like Sean Brock behind it I only expect the best treatment. To top this off the portions were woefully small and aside from insulting us and not giving helpful suggestions the server forgot some of our drink orders. While he stated that he would accommodate food allergies they did not have skim milk on hand for my wife who is lactose intolerant. Can’t believe this happened at a place with such a respected name. Would NEVER go back.
No longer a fan. They had a fire last week, and I am sorry for that. If my next door neighbor had a fire, I emphasize, they need to do what ever they need to do to keep their family safe and comfortable, and will tolerate what ever it takes so they can get back on their feet.Husk, a for profit venture, parks a large very noisy generator in their parking lot to keep their freezers operating to the detriment of the neighborhood instead of running new temporary power lines or moving their perishables to a temporary location. Inconsiderate corporate neighbors. Especially poor in that one of us called the fire department early on, and the entire building did not burn down.Your savings was to our detriment, shame on on Sean.
Outstanding, we went for lunch, one of the top 10 lunches I’ve had, perfect experience. Can’t go wrong, perfect score in my book. Only wish it was in my hometown lol
Our amazing experience at Husk in Charleston last April set high expectations for the visit to Hush in Nashville. I am pleased to advise the folks inTennessee met if not exceeded the standards set by it’s counterpart in South Carolina. Traveling with others, we had a chance to experience several small plates to begin our meal, all of which were amazing. The Rappahannock oysters, fried chicken skins, charcuterie plate and crawfish rice were alla delight.
