Just awesome. Best jerk chicken I’ve ever had, hands down. Excellent yellow rice and greens, though I do wish they had some fresher vegetable options, and great cornbread. The portions are very generous – the first time I thought surely I’d be taking some home with me, but the food is just too good to not inhale all in one sitting. Definitely the star of the Farmers’ Market.

Out of this world!!!! Oxtail, curried goat, jerk chicken, escoveitch, meat patyies , johnny cakes, fried plantains, sweet potatoes with pineapple. Perfect fruit teas. This would be my last meal!!

We tried the curried goat, jerk chicken & oxtails. Absolutely loved every bite. Cabbage, turnip greens & sweet potatoes with pineapple complimented the meat & for a vegetarian would make a great meal. I could eat the Johnny cakes by the dozen. We enjoyed it all & will be back to try more. Thanks

Come back to Jamaica!!!. Oxtail, Rice and peas, Callilou, Johnnycakes, meatpies….all make me recall being actually in Jamaica!! The jerk chicken is not as spicy as I like and a bit to Americanized for me, but It is flavorful enough for the average palate. But, for your authentic ‘Caribbean food’ in Nashville, this is it!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Great Jamaican Jerk Chicken. We had the Mango Chutney and the Jamaican Jerk and thought the jerk spice blend won out. The Mango Chutney was good but was pretty one note. It was basically a sweet sauce on fried chicken. The jerk chicken was fantastic. Great flavor on some tender chicken that goes great with rice. The rice soaks up the flavor and catches all the juices so when you are missing some of the spice by the time you get to the middle of the chicken, the rice steps in. Yay!

Highly Recommend. We stopped at Jamaica way on our way from Knoxville to Memphis. What a wonderful decision! Cafeteria style with plenty of options. We ordered the beef tips with collard greens and dirty rice and the oxtail with turnip greens and steamed cabbage. Th beef tips were good, but a tad over salted. The oxtail was cooked perfectly, as the cartilage around the bone was that wonderful chewy consistency. The sauce over it warmed the belly. All of the sides, including the complementary Johnny Cakes, were the perfect complements to the mains. The servers were very friendly and helpful, offering tastes of any dish and answering questions. Seating was very limited, especially right in the heart of the lunch hour. Overall, an excellent dining experience that we look forward to experiencing again the next time we are in Nashville.

Vegan options yummy. I am plant strong and find it very hard to find yummy exciting options while traveling. I had discovered Jamaica way via Triple D reviews. Guy was not wrong. Greens were unbelievable, rice and peas, curry tofu. Yummy ummy. I was able to get awesome options for my protein selections. My husband chose the jerk chicken. He said it was excellent. His only complaint was small servings. We are excited to head to Jamaica this summer. Will find our way back to Jamaica way when in Nashville. Owners/employees were wonderful.
