I came to this sushi bar on a Wednesday for lunch and about an hour or two after I ate some raw sushi, my stomach started getting really bad pains. I thought this was temporary, then after I started getting sick that evening and the following morning, I was sure I had food poisoning. Well Saturday morning came, and the pains only increased. I went to the ER to find I had a parasitic infection that I received from consuming raw sushi. Parasites can only be killed when frozen at a certain temperature. I’ve been eating sushi for years and worked in a sushi bar for a while as well. This is something that could have been avoided if proper precautions were taken by this company. I suggest everyone who currently eats here, finds a different sushi bar. Not to mention the service wasn’t great and my coworkers and I felt rushed throughout our entire visit.
Great place for lunch. The pick two box specials are good. Donburi is a delicious choice, too, and perfectly sized for one person. Well worth the walk from the Capitol or War Memorial Plaza.
Great food, service off. The food was outstanding. We ordered sushi and it was some of the best we’ve had. As delighted as we were by the delicious food, we were equally put off by the service. I was quite surprised as we had read reviews to the contrary. We had two under 3, so perhaps that was the problem. The server was not warm or inviting and the check came as we started to eat. So, no, I don’t think we will be dining there again, at least as a family.
