OVERPRICED! $22 for gnocchi! A small bowl that’s main ingredient was garlic. Yuck! I’ve brushed my teeth twice and I’m still tasting it!We had the lobster tacos as an appetizer. Surprised when they arrived cold, but tasted good. The waiter may have been having a bad day. He was not friendly at all. (It is Nashville!)Great idea: they had a cup of reading glasses at the hostess stand.
We seriously enjoyed this place! Ordered empanadas as and app and it was cooked to perfection. Great blend of favors. The bib blue cheese salad was good, but not worth the price. The New York strip steak was cooked to perfection and the green bean/ Pecan side was great. We also ordered the market fish special Maui Maui and it was melt in your mouth delicious! Drinks were great and we had great service. Def recommend this place!
Oh no! I’ve lived in East Nashville since 2006. Live in Lockeland Springs and was excited when Lockeland Table opened blocks from my house. I like Lockeland Table and go often. I usually would say that I love it until we made the mistake of going on Valentines Day. Their preconfigured menu was a joke. I felt like a sucker. It was subpar and not any where near as what we’ve come to expect from them. Not worth the $275 ticket. I feel like I was taken.
Warm Atomosphere. This restaurant keeps up with East Nashville’s reputation as a dining mecca for Nashville. The pizza was perfect! Would return.
Far more elegant and sophisticated than the heavy-on-the pizzas menu suggests. Not East Nashville funky-ish either. Lots of suits and business conversations the night we were there. Our party had excellent pork loin and really exceptional trout. Both had fresh high quality and interesting ingredients and were prepared and presented nicely. Only shortcoming was marrow bones — not in the dish but in the absence of a marrow scoop. Teaspoons don’t work well in this application and a scoop is not only functional but it adds a bit of tradition to the table.
I have to disagree with the Husk being better comparison by Melissa. I live in Charleston, and Husk is highly overrated. All of the food is overpowered by bacon. I’ve been to Husk twice and will never go back. Too many good places in Charleston …Lockeland Table, on the other hand, I’ll be back.28 Apr, 2013Loved the cheese selection. Loved the steak and the collards. The wedge salad was ok …Overall, it was a great meal.
Interesting menu. I had steamed mussels and their version of the salad wedge. Very tasty. Price was very reasonable also. Only thing that I wasn’t thrilled with was the fact they gave our table away bec they said they had our reservation for a certain time even though I called twice in the last week to confirm our time as we had made our reservations a while a go. They did fit us in but we were stuffed in a corner around a very small high top so we couldn’t relax and have cocktails and conversation for a while.
