As far as fondue goes this is a very poor choice … to sum it up they use a broth to fondue chicken, steak, shrimp and what ever … boiled meat is not for me.
Nashville. Went twice and both times was sat at the table 5 ft from the kitchen when the place was empty. Also twice asked for a mocha and first time was brought drip coffee with chocolate in it so the next time I explained that it was only espresso, steamed milk and chocolate. They couldn’t admit they don’t even have an espresso machine. Whatever, I was made to feel like a pretentious jerk for ordering something so common and normal. Who knows maybe it’s not the melting pot maybe it’s just the South. I’m sure they know what a Mocha is in other regions of the country and I’m sure they also know that you sit the customers of least value 5 ft from the kitchen.
Loved It!!. My daughter and I went to The Melting Pot in Nashville on Saturday, October 12th for the Brew & Fondue promotion they are running for the month of October. We were late for our reservation because of traffic but called ahead to let them know. They said no problem and when we arrived 25 minutes later we waited only a couple minutes to be seated. The food and service was impeccable! We enjoyed ourselves immensely and our server Trevor was fantastic! I would definitely recommend The Melting Pot, especially for a special occasion! Liz
Giving it one more chance. I wrote about the bad experience i had at the melting pot. i am writing another cause i believe in second chances. the manager called after i filed a complaint and apologized for the inconvenience. he sent me a coupon to be used on my next visit. so i am going to go back soon and give it another try everyone has a bad day from time to time.
Stick with just dessert. This is a fun place to go for the nostalgia of it. The experience is what makes this worth going back for as I wasnt super impressed with the food or service., Dont order the four course pre planned meals. Instead split a small cheese (skip the salads as they are nothing special). Order the sirloin and shrimp (all the other meat on the platter was over seasoned or not that good). And then get dessert. The dessert is definitely the highlight of the meal, and we found that if you order the four course experience, you just dont have room for the dessert. And we left alot on our plates every course. So save your wallet and from feeling like you have to stuff yourself to get your money out of the deal, and order a la carte. Or eat dinner at home and come here for just dessert!
What a real bummer. Had one of the worst meals and service in my 55 years. i took my girlfriend there cause i thought it would be a romantic meal and something new for her. we were greeted very nicely and were seated very quickly before our reservation time. we had to wait for about 15 minutes before our waiter even showed to our table. we had him explain to my girlfriend cause she had not been to a melting pot before. he took our drink order. we got our drink order and placed an order. we waited for about another 15-20 minutes before we got our salad. another waiter came to the table with the oil to cook our food. we then waited another 10 min for our food to come. the waiter then spilled the wine bottle thank the lord it didn’t get on us! he apologized to which i said accidents happen. he told us that they had run out of batter for the food and it was being made. we waited for another 10-15 minutes and no batter so we being hungry started to cook our food with out the batter. the waiter cam back to the table and i asked if they were going to get us some batter. he went to the kitchen and got us some. upon returning to the table he spilled my glass of wine. and said he would return with a replacement. he brought u back a sip of wine a portion to me what was spilled. we then had to wait several times for them to fill our water glasses. when the dinner was finally over when he brought the bill they had charged us for the sip of wine replacement. i had to wait for another 10 minutes for the waiter to return to tell him of the discrepancy. i had eaten at several melting pots before and never had such problems. i contacted the melting pot through their site to review our meal to which the automated response said they were sorry and they would contact me about our experience. i have waited 4 days and no response from them guess we didn’t spend enough money at their establishment so they didn’t even bother. this is the first time i have written a review for a restaurant cause most of the time the problems were resolved in a timely manner. what i thought would be a fun night out ended with this meal!!! WHAT A REAL BUMMER!!!!
The bestttt food and drinks in town!
