Great southern breakfast cafe. Heather was so friendly and one of the nicest waitress we’ve had. Very inexpensive for the amount of food. Free complimentary sausage gravy with breakfast. Don’t judge by the outside. Usually line so don’t always expect to get in quick.

In East Nashville for the first time and looking for a place for breakfast, we decided to try Nashville Biscuit House. I was somewhat concerned given the occasional bad review here. We did wait a long time – about 30 minutes at 11 a.m. – but once seated the service was fast and friendly. And the food was worth the wait! At our table we ordered eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes and home fries. And everything was delicious. Can’t speak to the quality of grits, but let’s keep this in perspective. You’re in a biscuit house. Order biscuits. You won’t be disappointed.

Horrible!! We waited in the drive through for 30 min in hopes of the good reviews to prove its worth. The biscuits were tiny, grits were instant, and over all lacking flavor. Service was slow as we expected since it is cooked to order, but our order was not correct. Seriously would of been better eating at the Burger King across the street. That’s saying slot since we hate fast food. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Horrible food and even more horrible service!!!. Sadly disappointed, I read so many wonderful reviews and had to wonder if perhaps I went in on an off day. My boyfriend and I went in around 9 am on a Monday, there were tables and booths available. We were immediately greeted, sat down and ordered. Not soon after the restaurant proceeded to fill up. We watched as tables around us filled, ordered, got their meals and in some cases even left…all before we had even gotten our food!! We sat for at least 45 minutes before we were even acknowledged by someone who came by to see if we needed our coffee refilled as I had begun to put on my coat to just leave as it was getting ridiculous. We told this waitress that we had still not even received our food and had been waiting for awhile, we had seen our waitress quickly walk past us delivering food to others or taking orders at other tables but never did she stop or seem to even notice that we still existed. I guess this other waitress told her we were upset because she finally came over and explained that things had gotten crazy but she had put our order in and that she would put it in again and get it right out, she even remembered our order but didnt remember to pick up our food or check that it was even being made?! The other waitress brought us out our food, she brought me a completely different order but as she hadnt taken it I dont blame her. Our waitress never apologized, honestly didnt seem all that concerned, she never offered any way to rectify the situation other than to get our food order in finally. To top it off, the food was terrible: the eggs were undercooked, the biscuits soggy and the bacon burned. Needless to say we will never be back or recommend to anyone. Service was terrible. Food was awful and we still had to pay for it. Never again.

Good food great price!. Great little local diner. Very reasonable prices and my family left stuffed. I had the Nashvillian which had 2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, grits and biscuit and gravy for $6.95.

WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE?. My wife and I met at the NBH on Saturday for breakfast–advise going early as it fills up quite fast. I ordered the Lumberjack and was thoroughly impressed as everything on the platter was quite good. Here’s a couple of items that really stuck out: (1) the bacon, good size portions and perfectly crisp [no stringiness or raw pieces] and (2) home fries potatoes. Not a lot of people get home fries–they were crisp. I would advise to add some onions as I do with mine when frying them up for breakfast. We will definitely go back the next time in Nashville!
