When Big G was alive, this was a great place to eat. I has lunch here a few days ago and the greens tasted horrible. I was also shocked at how rudely the new owner spoke to me because she misunderstood what I was asking for. I will never eat there again or order lunch for my employees.

Amazing! Best food I’ve had in months. Go for the catfish!!

Great Food!. Ready for something good? Try Silver Sands for breakfast or lunch. Best liver and onions in this town. Meat and two-three at a resonable price. Jefferson Street Pawn loves Silver Sands!!!

  • Good Food

Sorry to have to say this, but the place is disgusting. Huge amounts slopped on plates does not make good soul food. Could not cut liver, too much salt, no drinks except a couple of bottles of OJ an water. No salt and pepper on tables. Nice people but I just could never stomach this again. Go to Sylvan Park instead or Puckett’s downtown.

I may move closer!!. I am from West TN, but in town for a training and was led here by a Nashville veteran for breakfast today. Wow – I wish my mouth was bigger!!Pork w/gravy, potatoes, apples, and biscuits – I looked up and it was all gone and all for a low price. I will be back here for breakfast and lunch for more of what I think may be Tennessee’s best soul food spot.

Used to be good long ago.. This used to be a good restaurant a long while ago, with very good food. Now it is so-so at best. The service has always been bad so don’t expect anything over-the-top.It’s located in ‘the hood’ so bring your pistol and plenty of ammo.
