Getting the basics really wrong. There’s an old saying when it comes to gardening: If you can’t grow Hostas, you can’t grow anything. Before last night’s dinner, I didn’t think it possible to go wrong with basic pasta dishes but Sole Mio managed exactly that.My wife and I ordered a pasta Alfredo dish with grilled chicken. I’m sure it would have tasted better if they had remembered the Alfredo sauce. The couple next to us ordered a spaghetti dish and the comment we overheard was that it might as well have been a serving of Chef Boyardee.
Valentines Day Dinner. I had dined at Sole Mio a few times in the past. This was the first time on Valentines Day. It appeared to me that the restaurant had set up as many tables as they could. They had tables placed end to end almost cafeteria style in the middle of the room. It was really crowded. You should feel fortunate if you were seated along the wall. This was my first Valentines dinner with my date and I was a little embarrassed by the situation. It was like dining at a family style restaurant. We ordered from the Valentine special menu. I ordered the pork chop which was good. Very large pork chop. My date order the lobster ravioli. Her serving was so small I told her she would still be hungry after we finished. The meal barely covered the bottom of the bowl. As we waited on my car we both used the restrooms. We found them very dirty. This might be attributed a very busy night for the staff but people want the restrooms to be clean at this type of restaurant. I was very disappointed.
Sole Mio. We dined there 9/10/2014 my husband surprised me for our anniversary it was amazing the service was excellent the wine was refilled every.2 minutes.The food was un real monk fish with zaffiran sauce wonderful the desert was even better. Check this place you won’t be disappointed
Loved it.. I dined here yesterday (8/4/14) for lunch and the food was amazing. The lunch time chef really knows what hes doing. We ordered a couple of things.. we ordered the Tre Maiale Flatbread to share (delicious, flavorful and meaty) and for my main meal I had the Linguine Carbonara. Wow. This bowl of pasta was so good. The Pancetta was a little fatty but the flavor and the parmesan cream sauce made this very enjoyable. I will definitely eat there again.
🙂 gluten-friendly restaurant and Italian. Two things that usually do not go together.. We wanted a gluten-friendly restaurant near Broadway, and my husband wanted Italian. Not two things that usually go together. They offer two different types of gluten-free pasta, a penne and a three-cheese ravioli. They were out of the penne. I had the ravioli with a spicy red sauce and clams. It hit the spot and was exactly what I wanted. My husband had pollo saltimboca. It had a great smoky flavor with melted cheese that was fabulous. We had the panna cotta for dessert, which my husband thought was the best non-chocolate dessert he had ever had.Most of the pasta dishes were off-limits due to the gluten-free restriction, but there was still plenty to eat. You have to do the create-your-own option for gluten-free pasta. The staff was warm and friendly.
Delicious. We found this place by luck, and were extremely pleased. I only wish my stomach was bigger so I could eat the whole meal. It was one of the best meals that I’ve eaten, in Nashville. If I come back, I will go to Sole Mio. Our server couldn’t have been any better.
Terrible service cold food no atmosphere will never go again
